You're making a good point that China cant get rid of Islam, but tbh, i dont think China is trying to get rid of Islam. I think China is trying to get rid of local or regionally strong and influential Islamic institutions and communities. This is why China supported Myanmar's govt's genocide against its Muslims- Myanmar borders China, so the fewer the Muslims there, the better for China(in CCP's view that is).

That is sweeping Islam under the rug, that's the same as trying to get rid of Islam.

To begin with, China does not sponsor a religion, and the Chinese government stance on religion is basically a threat because it incite people (Not just Islam but every religion). There are news that China oppress on religion coming from time to time.

I know deobandis and barelvis very well also that they oppose each other but they team up against so called "wabbis".

Deobandis are not imported from KSA. They are very much made in India just like Ahmed Raza Khan's Barelvi movement. Good post but I never thought Deobandi were so into so much nonsense. I knew Barelvi sect is more into grave worshipping and bidah.

Nevertheless , My point stands. TTP themselves classify themselves as hardcore Deobandis. Also , Wahabi version of Islam is practised by Al-Qaeda/ISIS and Takfiri brand.

Barelvis even though practice weird things are not really involved in terrorism.

The "wahabi" in Pakistan is automatically labeled as this ultimate kafir by both these jaahil sects because the wahabi comes in and says look all these demented delusions that you adore are not from Quran nor from sunnah so why don't you cease and decist. Which is then automatically labeled as kuffar by both dominant sects actually doing all the real shirk and bid'aa that puts them on the path of kuffar, how dare the "wahabi" afterall, right?.

One thing I will admit. There are some fire and brimstone "wahabis" who don't always display good akhlaq and further exasperates the stigma/stereotype associated with "wahabis"(why this name dude abdul wahab died only his teachings lived on we don't associate ourselves with him but try to with Allah.
