What's new

The Un-Intended Eye Opener Of 27th Feb:---

It was not a declared act of war.

Responding when showing restraint is different. In small skirmishes, Pakistan has more chances to win, in an all out war, it tilts in india's favour. So avoid a war but win a skirmish.

Patience of a cat and leap of a lion = Domination :pakistan::pakistan:

This impressive!
It was USS Abraham Lincoln I dont exactly remember the time frame.
they claimed no one could penetrate their defenses...surprise surprise
Two Mirages were used in the exercise.

in my opinion Pakistan undertakes a sensible approach to emulation, one driven by the perceived military need to defeat the indian air force, rather than by the pursuit of prestige or a desire to mirror IAF capabilities. no meter JF-17 was the aircraft or SD-10 was the missile at the end of the day PAF achieved its goal and thats all what meters, the enemy got the message very loud and clear and for that entire campaign was initiated ....

@Khafee
I fear that the Indians are not done yet. They have this last chance to cause harm to Pak State.

I also have sneaky feelings, a big attack is planned right now and it is on its way before Indian elections. Modi is wounded, he is licking his wounds, he will come back with orders to his military to attack with overwhelming force and on multiple fronts.

India want's to award a Su30 pilot for successfully dogging Aim-120. It means that F16 fired Aim-120s. A figure of 4 missiles is mentioned. Were any of them successful!!

AIM may strike or may not strike, it all depends on degree of error amplification in it's seeker, which ensure US promise to Indian administration.
India was angry in beginning but now they are no more chanting AIM mantra. US must have given them some sense, more they mention AIM more it become suspicious.

The leap you mentioned is important.

While in a skirmish, Pakistan has options in hand such as when and where to strike with what.

In an all out war, Ground forces of Pakistan will have 1-2 days to advance as much as they can inside India. After that the overwhelming India forces will not let advance any further. One leap and hold it till the end of the war.

Sensors and technology have changed now, way more advanced than 1970's and 1980's.

well they have but superiors tactics and men behind the machine still matter.
Their commander at the time was just as surprised as Indians were on 27th of Feb.

Hi

The Paf blundered the first night for not being ready to entrap the enemy aircraft ---that showed---either there was no planning ahead of time even though the enemy had already announced its intentions---Paf was scared to take on the enemy---Paf just plain and simple failed to understand the level of the threat---.

The day 2 was more of a show and pomp calculated strike---.

The night combat would have been the real show and tell of the Paf---.

I am just letting you children have some moments to enjoy---but tactically---the Paf failed the first night---.

The Paf were thinking to play the same drama of 2008 of popping up of picture of an indian aircraft lock to the media---.

But this time the reaction from the public was so furioius and angry---that the Paf was forced to do something---.

The pakistani public literally m-f'd the Paf and ispr after the first night---.

How incompetent the Pak military was---how un-prepared pak military was---they had to wake up their prime minister at 3 am---.

That showed a total lack of leadership---a total lack of understanding the enemy threat---a total lack of comprehending what the enemy was saying---.

So---just cherish these few moments of joy and your rhetoric---.

Agreed, we tried to avoid the war. But problem is, India is going to impose the war on us, definitely. India knows that their success is only in numbers. Otherwise in fighting abilities Pakistanis had always been more than capable.
That's why I say we should have strike hard to deter them, which sadly we didn't.

They were from the 15 squadron; Cobras
PAF were given two dozen or so Radar-less Mirage-V's, some operated by 15th Sqd. In the past decades, PAF must have upgraded them with avionics and radars to make them a very potent aircraft, almost on the same lines as ROSE II and ROSE III Mirage-V's, if not better.

Imposing a war is not easy, India has tried many avenues through air, a few through through sea while on the land LOC and Balochistan is always open for India to strike. The real success is not coming in from anywhere. Creating a war hysteria is different than actually starting an all out war.

@Signalian ,,,, You made me confused and worried ……. If all the killed made by F-16 then DG-ISPR No F-16s were used ?? And if all the kill done by F-16 does that mean Chinees tech is not worthy of trying???????? Why we didn't use it????
And if all the kill done by F-16 , then forget any new or old F-16s coming to PAF …. Isreal and india will make sure that ……. And also forget any future upgrades for our F-16s , because USA wont allow that...…..
Meri Jaan, don't be confused and worried.

F-16's were on defensive patrol, DG ISPR made a press briefing of PAF strike inside India, not about PAF CAP's or defense. Why should he mention defensive assets and their locations? Thats something you don't tell right?

Chinese tech is good, otherwise JF-17's wouldnt have been sent across LOC.

F-16's were blocked already in past years when PAF wanted more RJAF second hand F-16's.
