"Energy independence" does not have to be a brief period if the USA continues to move to energy conservation and efficiency measures as well as to add more solar and wind resources. Also, if we could get past irrational fears we could add more nuclear generation. We have plenty of USA-based uranium.

USA is already one of the leaders in efficiency in Dollars of GDP produced per TOE, and further improvements can only help. Nuclear power coupled with more widespread electrification of the transport network would be a major leap forward in this regard.

USA is the reason behind every war directly or indirectly espicaliy last 100 years. .. oh new war of venezuela. usa tell other countries to follow elected people and still try to throw government s who are elected by their own people. most recent examples venezuela and turkey..i can not expect moralities from USA..where thy can not go himself they supply weapons there. i feel upset when i see this all killing done by usa and his allies.. simple question who has around 750 billions dollars defense budget. this all money goes for killing people directly or indirectly..if they spent this much money on humanity it can improve usa legacy.every superpower has his legacy of his time. greek, roman british. muslim.
