Yes, there are numerous other threads to argue about......... this religion bashing is getting pretty boring......... talk about flogging a dead horse:cry:

Stick to the topic instead of bashing religions please.

One cannot take the example of one Muslim nation, Saudi Arabia for example, that has certain severe restrictions on women, and then argue that those restrictions are called for by Islam, since other Muslim nations (such as Pakistan) do not have those restrictions.

Bhagat Singh, refrain from attacking other faiths on such spurious grounds.

I never accused quran..and using harsh language is nobodys advantage..rather it's disadvantage. Thanx.

It was not my intention to abuse islam. Thanx.

huh......Sorry i wont participate in mud throwing....otherwise i had an answer....

In Islam both girl and boy should be Adult and Both will be asked 3 times before they legally get married. I dont know where you learn that crap....
How many times was aishah's permission asked when she was married to prophet muhammed at age of 8 or 12?

How many Sahabis had slaves??? Enlighten me please.
Prophet muhammed had slaves.companions like aboobaker and omer and many others had slaves.

How discriminate??

Womens testimony(in court) is of half the value of man, because of their lack of common sense(Sahih Muslim, Number 142.)
If this law is enacted today,it would be dream come true for woman abusers.

May be you want your family to have *** before marrige with strangers. I dont have problems. But i do mind for my family and my society. No amendments needed.
I dont like adultery but killing a person by pelting stones,i think is more barbaric than adultery, and not fit for modern world. It is just my openion you are free to stone your many family members,if they had ***before marriage.

Yup. Hate mogors and social evils who spread hate with cherry picking should really be eliminated.
Buddy it is not about spreading hate against a particular relegion.I am aware of the fact that hinduism and christanity have their share of social evils in their texts.I am of the opinion that such things need to be eliminated from modern society. We cannot blame a hindu or muslim because their religion condoned some social evil but i think we can blame a hindu or muslim who say that social evil need not be amended just because their religion condoned it.

this following is your post right ???

In saudi women can't drive or vote..? And it must be according to quran ? They wont even debate on this because it is forbidden and nobody can question it.
Even if you you cannot modify gita, hinduism is evolving with time(except a few).. And it is not forced on any body.but with islam the problem is when you put religious law in to state and then tell the world that it cannot be modified or you say (in a secular country)i want to marry two girls because it is allowed in islam. Thats where i say be it any religion when it stands still and pull world away from humanity and ethics that religion will get a bad name ultimatly will get rejected by people.religion should not be sudden brake it should be a steering for betterment of human life, progress, morals, and tolerance.

This debate will get stuck at 'holy laws '. Nobody can modify islamic laws so no point in debating.
.

It's very good to have belief in god. In fact it's necessary to have belief in god.

As Albert Einstein has said "If anyone says, there's no god, he's a fool"

But the problem comes when we want everyone else to believe what we believe in. That's where it all starts. Religion is great. Only as long as it is kept at individual level and behind closed doors.

The same guy also said "I believe in Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists, not in a God who concerns himself with the fates and actions of human beings."

I don't belevive that the quote you posted was of Einstein >->.

Agreed....

I think believers mistakenly quote Einstein's supposed believe in God to support their claims......

Truth is Einstein was an atheist for all practical purposes...

Albert Einstein is sometimes claimed by religious theists seeking the authority of a famous scientist for their theistic views, but Einstein denied the existence of the traditional concept of a personal god. Was Albert Einstein therefore an atheist? From some perspectives his position would be seen as atheism or no different from atheism. He admitted to being a freethinker, which in a German context is much the same as atheism, but it's not clear that Einstein disbelieved in all god concepts.

Einstein Quotes on Atheism & Freethought: Was Einstein an Atheist, Freethinker? Albert Einstein Denied Traditional Gods, But is that Atheism?
