It's all because of the unnecessary attention he brought to the case that there's a storm looming over us. Had he not politicised Asia's case, it might have been dealt with from under the wraps and these so-called Islamist's would still be searching for another purpose to enrich their lives.

But what Salman did, it's fallout stretched beyond the religious sentiments in Pakistan. He served an excuse in plate to the the nosy West to arm twist Pakistan into complying with its dictation. His unilateral pursuit of political "glory", jeopardised the national prestige in many ways. Not only this case brought bad repute, but it would have added to the politico-economic woes as a penalty had Pakistan not obliged the "Champions of Human Rights", who BTW don't spare a damn about Muslims on own grounds.

Imran Mian! Look around, are you enjoying the nationwide hostage situation? Because if you are, you should also thank Taseer for that. For what he did, there was never an easy way for Pakistan to walkout from.
