What is the true current state of Iran?

How is Iran's economy and internal politics? Is Iran ready for the near-future that is increasingly hostile.

When a group of nations control trade, banking, and international politics there isn't much a country like Iran can do. Iran has been painted as a pariah state in the Western media, the worst part of it all is that our Muslim brothers are complicit in it all. The future world order is about bullying, threats and economic cronyism, the rich and powerful bending the will of the weak....(maybe its always been that way).

Agreed. But what is the status inside Iran exactly?

Truth is, this summer is going to be a hot one if you ask me. Syria is wrapping up but the Israelis won't allow this war to die off easily. Hezbollah is way to powerful for Israels liking. Iran would be dumb to not stay at least for a little while longer. So I just wanted to know if Iran can realistically stay in Syria while supporting itself back home.
