Khilafah as is commonly understood is not feasible. Any person who thinks that Khilafah and democracy are mutually exclusive needs to have their head examined by someone other than a HuT affiliate.

The best that can be hoped is a positive interaction between various Islamic countries for research, humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, minority rights, technological development, and educational excellence. From such combined efforts more steps can be taken by mature democracies to establish an institution for strategic and policy initiatives. With a little budget such a supra-national institution, headed by an elected seasoned politician and mature democrat, can make a positive contribution to world peace and justice. We can not have a lone warrior making global decisions from a bunker somewhere. We need transparent institutions where issues are debated and concluded with solid policies for the world to see.
