Why do people want Ottoman empire back?

The Khilafah is a protection for all Muslims all over the world. What do we see now? Muslims suffering all over the world. If the Khilfah was here that time nothing would happen. The Ottoman Empire defended the Muslim nations, they defended Palestine in the last bit during World War 1 when the British signed the 1917 Belfour Declaration.

The Ottoman was not a Sharia only, it has the best economical system using the Islamic law, they created science and medicines. They defended the entire Middle East and some parts in Europe, it's the Caliph duty to defend all Muslims. Why are you against the Ummah? Look how corrupted is the Middle East now, the Jews stole Al Quds and there is so many bloodshed, who causes those bloodshed? the Crusaders.

The hadith says the Khilafah will fall but eventually it will rise and now looks what's happening in the Middle East allahu Akbar, the Khilafah is coming back after what's happening in Syria. All we see is people lifting the banner of Islam.

Yes, a lot of Muslims want the Caliphate / Khalifa re-established to unite and lead the Ummah.

Inshallah the Khilafah is coming soon and no Dajjalic System(Democracy) will defeat the Khilafah System. Inshallah, the Muslims will dominate the world!

it's a disgrace that there are Muslims out there still support Secularism

I think its a disgrace one can be so blatantly ignorant and narrow minded.

I would rather first put my faith in factual science, and diplomatic methods that are PROVEN to work, and have hard facts supporting them rather than misplacing my faith and efforts into the hands of ignorant, selfish religious leaders that deliberately mislead the population based on their own personal ideals. Science and secularism has made Turkiye great. I won't comment on the current affairs of most Islamic nations that do not follow the same method. Religion is a choice, and the degree to which one should practice is also their choice - not yours, not a political leaders, not a religious leaders. I can answer to god myself when I die. You or any other man are nothing, and should never dictate to me how to live.

At the end of the day the world is a stadium, and if you want to play for the best possible outcome for your people you will play by the rules. This is not to say religion is toxic, but its limited scope and narrow way of thinking make it impossible for you to attain the best possible position for your people when dealing with nations of other diverse backgrounds or religion. Religion is a personal choice, and need not be imposed on everyone around you.

As for the OP - I don't want the empire back. I want an economically, and militarily powerful Turkiye that is prosperous, SECULAR, and delivers a good quality of life to its people.

Even in its greatest extend, Ottomans were not able to help Muslims fighting with Portuguese. The Sword of Islam concept was a good thing, in 9th century. Now it is not feasible.

Timur - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
That guy was a hardcore Muslim. Killed nearly 17 million Muslims.
Selim I - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
That guy claimed Caliphate for Ottomans. Most of his military campains were against Muslims.

IMHO, we as Turks don't need a Caliph to unite Middle East, but a Khagan to unite Central Asia.

You already have Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. 2 countries based on Islam.

Good to see some humour on this site.

Try going to southern Europe, not to many supporters of the return of the ottoman empire there.

Only the leading class were Turks,it was a minority ruled empire.
At sometime muslims were 19% of the total population of the empire and those included arabs to.

Idk, turks were(are?) probably the most mature of muslims so it had to be someone capable ruling

Turkey can't lead muslim people by going back to their primitive ways and turning itself back to a dysfunctional religious cesspit. What Turkey should do to become an imperial power is to introduce secularism to other muslim nations. This is how "leading" thing works. People should follow our example, not the other way around.

What Turkey really needs to do is to focus on other Turkic states/nations and develop all kinds of relations with them.

Ottoman empire was a medieval superpower. But like all good things must come to an end, it too fell prey to decay and stagnation.
But age of empires has passed now, it's the era of nation states. Am a big fan of ottoman artillery. Say hello to my little friend

The reasons for the failure of the Ottomon Empire were decadence spearheaded by religious leaders who equated progress with rebellion. Other reasons were opulence and the use of religion for convenience.

Muslims do need a strong economic and military power that puts its foot down like the US does occasionally, and turkey is a potential candidate but their foreign policy suggests otherwise.

What do you find wrong with the Turkish foreign policy.

Can you convince your countrymen to rejoin Pakistan?

1.You are asking that question because you do not know the genesis of Pakistan. We are Pakistan - the ideological Pakistan against which you had voted till the end. Except NWFP in the end - that too with the efforts of Iskandar Mirza who claimed himself to be from Bengal. Pakistan was our project. It was sabotaged soon after the Shere E Bangla had moved the famous Lahore Resolution 1940. That was the end of the Pakistan project we had pioneered.

2. In 1971 we sought to correct the LHR Resolution. You seceded from us, the major and main part. And you did that with violence because the military was overwhelmingly West Pakistani.

3. Our effort now is to keep the Two Nation Theory intact in the face of strenuous efforts by India to undo this by hook or crook.
