WhatsApp status on Pakistan Republic Day lands Karnataka Muslim woman in jail

BAGALKOT: A 25-year-old woman has been arrested for posting celebratory messages on Pakistan Republic Day on her WhatsApp status in Mudhol on Thursday. The accused is identified as Kuthma Sheikh, a resident of Mudhol town and a student at local Madrasa. The incident reportedly occurred on March 23, when Pakistan celebrates its Republic Day.

According to police, “She has put up Whatsapp status conveying Pakistan Republic Day wishes on Wednesday. A person identified as Arun Bhajantri after noticing Kuthma’s WhatsApp status has filed a complaint with evidence. Based on the complaint, action was initiated.”

As per the photo shared by the department of police, “The accused WhatsApp status stated that ‘Allah Har Mulk me Ittihaad…Aman...Sukoon…Ata Farma Maula’ (may Allah grant unity, peace and harmony in every country). Along with this she had also put up a photo conveying wishes to Pakistan on their Republic Day.” A complaint has been registered in Mudhol Police Station.

Seriously? She only wished another nation and prayed for every country.

By this logic the ones who receive and share sweets with Pakistani counterparts at borders should also be charged and arrested.

Some Muslims, specially Kashmiris, in India show their love for Pakistan in ways which their circumstances allow. Pakistan does the same. At the same time, it would be a generalization to say that all Muslims have some kind of romantic feelings for Pakistan. In order to win the hearts of Pakistanis, if they ever want to do that for some reason, they will have to stand up to Indian atrocities in Kashmir, and elsewhere.

You have to show "Hussainiyat" against oppressors like Banu Ummaya, and Hindutva, in order to be recognized in a way that your name is remembered till Qiyamat. Compensating for Indian oppression, and changing the core values of Islam according to the demands of a Kafir administration, will get them nowhere.

Just stand up against oppression.

Pakistan has finally started to do its part for the Muslim Ummah. Muslims in India, on the other hand, will do the Muslim world a favour by just helping themselves. This will not only win hearts in Pakistan, but of people around the whole world.

Not all Pakistanis are same. As my forefathers were from Indian state of Gujrat so I have more in common with an Indian Muslim in Gujrat than lets say a Peshawari or a Lahori Muslim. For me religion comes first before nationality.

My generation was taught that indian state is an enemy state, but we were never taught to hate common indians. The opinions that we formed and now carry are based on our exposure to internet indians, the intolerance exhibited and hatred displayed by internet indians is unmatched and unparalleled.

Now you can say that there are exceptions, yes there may be and are ..... but the space afforded to internet indians went unchecked and unquestioned, they are busy building an image for indians and when every other encounter is with deluded hate filled idiot the nobody cares for the exceptions.

In any case no sane or insane indian can be excused because in their efforts to get rid of "corrupt" previous government they chose Pakistan hating religious bigots and continue supporting this lot.
