What's new

The JF-17 is a truly remarkable plane

PAF should continue to invest in the design and technical enhancements for the JF-17s. It should also pursue additional 5th generation fighter aircraft for both the PAF and PN. PN Air Wing also needs to be enhanced to properly defend Pakistan's sea frontiers.

You missed the part "Low-cost solution" (which in short means 'cheap'), other than that you got it!! :D

oh come on we call it cost benefit .....

It's a great aspect in a Light Combat Multirole Aircraft. I wish we we would have one.

Give credit it's a great war plane to replace massive obselete mig fleets for very small cost.

Far cheaper than gripen and f16 which allows potential buyers to replace migs one for one fighter.

Upgrade and improve as you wish already available in mass production.

Well done from jealous poster

You are in error sir----low cost never means cheap---like using aluminum alloys in place of composites---like using Russian equipment rather than American---like travelling in third class rather than 1st class.

Cheap is a frame of mind---pak military never procures cheap items

My military experts told me that after indian tejas failed miserably...and were regarded as junk by experts...JF-17 Thunder, without absence of much competition, have become the best available fighter aircraft in light multirole combat aircraft's category.

Good for Pakistan.

And thanks to Turkey for upgrading our F-16

Against the super flanker its designed to run. Against the F-35 it has no Chance, even though in terms of design ideas it borrows a lot from the F-35. Including the DSI, C++ Language usage, Common upgradable architecture etc.

common upgradable architecture
c++ language usage

are they the design similarities you look for with F35 ?

may i know parameters on which teas is junk and failed miserably
then we can go ahead for futher question

Yes, both the high end BMW I-5 and low end ford escort have self parking. You do consider this feature when taking the ford escort even though it is a common car.

i know this may sound repetitive but if they are designed to run against the super flanker then what do we have to counter them. Do you believe that we have enough f-16 to counter them. If not then are we waiting to buy f-16 from other nations in the next 5 years or are we going to evolve our jf-17 to at-least create a timid line of defense
