The day is not far when Islamabad will be in the hands of the mujahideen

Taliban will soon capture Islamabad, says Mullah Nazeer

MINGORA: Pakistani Taliban commander Mullah Nazeer Ahmed said in an interview with Al Qaeda’s media arm, Al-Sahab, that the Taliban would soon capture Islamabad.

Pakistani Taliban factions had united and would take their war to the capital, he said.

“The day is not far when Islamabad will be in the hands of the mujahideen.”

He accused the Pakistan Army of sending spies to facilitate US drone strikes against Al Qaeda and Taliban, and said Pakistani authorities were misleading the public by saying it was the United States carrying out the attacks.

“All these attacks that have happened and are still happening are the work of Pakistan,” he said, according to a transcript of the interview posted on Al-Sahab’s website.

Alarmed by deteriorating security in Afghanistan, the United States has since last year stepped up drone strikes in Pakistan. Pakistan objects to the strikes, calling them a violation of its sovereignty.

Mullah Nazeer Ahmed also blamed the Pakistani military’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency for sowing divisions between factions, saying the ISI was the Taliban’s main enemy. reuters

I hope my statement would not be like "How many battalions does the Pope have" question by Stalin, but how many people does the Taliban have anyway ? Pak Army is close to a Million strong and then there is the equal sized police, para and reserve forces. How do they expect to capture Islamabad? And how the hell did they get Swat ?

They are trying to move toward Islamabad.

Taliban say will abandon Buner on Friday

Updated at: 0126 PST, Friday, April 10, 2009

Taliban say will abandon Buner on Friday SWAT: A local Jirga and Taliban have jointly pronounced that ongoing talks between two parties have borne success here in Buner district on Thursday afternoon, Geo news reported.

According to Commissioner Malakand division Syed Muhammad Javed Taliban have agreed upon leaving Buner district on Friday following successful talks between local Jirga and Taliban took place here on Thursday afternoon.

It is pertinent to mention here that several round of talks between members of local Jirga and Taliban had been taking place for some months here which commenced after Taliban claimed overpowering Buner district some months ago while the dialogue were administrated by Commissioner Malakand division himself.

It is a serious threat forsure and it should be taken in hand with punch right back this stupid govt has made us a media show for the world to see given Pakistan such a bad name they tried to make deals with these bastards that didnt work to long seond i totally belive that those drones attacks had our gov's hands in them forsure !! to lok good front of America and looking like a might front of the people of the country and trying to make these terroist bastards fool's ! furtermore, now its gone out of control and needs to be dealed with full force wat are they wating for more people to die the country to loose its control over everything and possibly get bombed by the US ! unreal the gov needs to wake up when you have such a strong & big army why not use it when the time has arrived to safeguard the country and people and the future of our country GOD help us all !

They dont need to capture islamabad, all they need to do is continue the suicide bombings around the country and intensify it. Make it so bad that all foreigners dont want to invest in pakistan and dont want to visit, target govt/military infrastructure.

I think they have the capability to do this, the leaders of pakistan will bicker as usual and no constructive deterrant/retaliation will be used against the taliban.

Then America/India can invade under the pretext "pakistans nuclear arsenal is not safe anymore" and to all those outside Pakistan this would be seen as perfectly acceptable and perhaps in all honesty it would be the truth.

Then you will be in a world of hurt...

There is no way Taliban can capture Islamabad without ISI and army's co-operation. Anyone disagree?

What the heck are you on about?

Are you a real life zombie (or dead as the case may be), unaware of what it is like int he world of the Living Living?

For crying out loud, why make such a preposterous suggestion?

Why on earth would the ISI or army co operate with anyone to capture Islamabad?

This is an LSD trip no one is gonna go on, excpet maybe yourself.

Under what other scenarios can Taliban capture Islamabad? Is your army that incompetent otherwise to allow Taliban to capture Islamabad?

Well many circumstances can be created to overvcome Islamabad like

A host of Suicide Bombings followed by a flurry of militant activities.

A Lal Masjid like take and hold with larger numbers.

Or using a destroyer XXXXXXXI from space and zapping the city with alien killing beams.

Out of the three I think the third is more likely for the take over of Islamabad.

What the hell could they be holding talks about?
Sharia in Buner??!!

Real problem appears when Mullah and Company start its movement toward population, where he is un-welcome and start realizing local population is not happy and raise arms against Taliban.
