The COAS should not resign!

The CAOS should not resign.

Instead, everyone should ask for Shabaz Shareef & Co and Zardarialong with the JUI etc to be invesitaged for their crimes, and the massacres they caused, and be hung for these crimes of muder!
Hi, are you on drugs?

Serious question.

Why would they investigate entities that are the proxies of the GHQ?

It is like saying the Democratic and the Repulican parties are the proxies of the Pentagon because the Pentagon reserves the last say on defense matters including the foreign policy.

The Pakistan militar isn't a god. They operate in a complex society with many interest groups vying for influence. They are only human and can only do so much.

Btw Musharraf was going to hang NS and clean house but got pressured into first letting NS go and then abandoning all of his plans.

Extreme pressure from both 'brotherly' as well many other countries.

Death by hanging is a judicial penalty that involves a lengthy due process. Not every investigation ends up in convictions of crime and death by hanging.

What has the first statement got to do with the paragraph (below).

Its almost like you're giving the COAS a pass for the brilliant job he's done so far.

I mean, we can thank PDM for screwing the Economy, but Hafiz sahab can share the burden of screwing the people.

...

By the way, its COAS (Chief of Army Staff) - not CAOS.

You made the mistake twice.

How embarassing.

At least I have not fallen to a deeply disturbing propaganda about a conspiracy.

If the Army was indeed runnings things like most people have been tricked to believe then NS would have been hung a long time ago, Benazir would have never come anywhere near Isalamabad and Pakistan would have been a non-parliamentry one party state.

There too many factors, too many playere and too many interests at work here. The roots of the current drama lead to NS. Zardari as always is, as he has been, a secondary issue.

People still fail to see what is actually happening.

I agree, People pin everything on the army but its not entirely true. The civilian agency FIA, IB are also powerful, they are misused by the government to cause problems. International players also have connections deep inside the state, the police also sells to the highest bidder.

Especially the IB, at one time the IB was working strictly against the ISI. The IB has a longer reach at street level even. The local SHOs are more scared of the IB than they were ever of any other military intelligence organisation.

During his last tenure, Nawaz Sharif invested a huge amount of money into the IB, including the latest tech and toys available all in an effort to circumvent and compete against the military intelligence agencies. He was trying to set up the IB against the rest of the military intelligence agencies COMBINED!! Let that sink in a little.

This is a simple issue and can be fixed easily by the Pakistani military command with a few belligerant sounding phone calls to some near by international players. But that will not happen because the Pakistani military does not have absolute control over things like some people have been tricked to believe. The CPC in China for example has a real control over state mechanisms, the Pakistani military does no control in comparison.
