Remove Farakka barrage', demands Nitish Kumar as flood situation in Bihar turns grim

"The first dimension, statistical methodology, measures a country’s ability to adhere to
internationally recommended standards and methods. This aspect is captured by assessing
guidelines and procedures used to compile macroeconomic statistics, and social data reporting
and estimation practices." -
Quoted from the link.

Ability to adhere to methodology does not equate underlying data quality and analysis quality.

Since the international organizations thought the data are good enough to record in their database, there's no reason to disregard them.

Several including WHO are now putting asterisks next to BD data (saying pending re-analysis). Watch the fun over the next few years as even more discrepancies come to light.

Otherwise they would have simply displayed NA as they do for several countries.

NA refers to when there physically is no data collection available at the standardised methodologies.

Now just because you claim you follow the standards/methodology does not mean your data is automatically high quality.

That's a typical cheap way to win an argument by a low IQ subhuman. Or what should I say, it takes lots of effort to convince people from a country that don't even know how to use a toilet?

You won't accept the article simply because it doesn't support your argument, case closed.

The article is about railways and corruption. If this Indian politician has the view its so bad....I wonder what he will think about both of these in Bangladesh? Whats worse than a basket case ---- that would be his natural rhetorical classification of it. You do realise the title was a rhetorical one right? You understand what rhetoric means? Do you think it applies to Kissinger when he called you the original basket case....or was he truly being serious?

Why are indians so mad at Bangladeshis?

Is it due to the fact that Bangladesh was 'cleansed' of hindus quite effectively and poor indians couldn't do anything :D

Well, indian controlled Kashmir was cleansed of hindus by ISI and their networks and indians could barely do anything in their own territory

No need to be mad...

Just take it.

Muslims have been "shafting" a big wide rode in indians' hindus' arses--and they'll continue to do so. Just live with it.:agree:

Do BDeshis say that all the 3 million you butchered in 1971 were all Hindus? I see plenty of Muslim names in the operation search light list.....and plenty of photos of Muslim innocent people butchered by Pakistan in the Dhaka press club.

What about all the muslims that mukti bahini also killed in revenge?

So it seems the main carnage was muslim on muslim....tearing apart a whole country....and every day you got to look at the world map and see Bangladesh written instead of E. Pakistan. Sucks to be you.

It was a civil war--and yes, lots of killing happened--but this iconic pictures remains there to remind us what really happened :)

Pakistani soldier determining if the guy is Hindu or Muslim..

Firstly, 3 million number has proven to be rhetoric. Secondly, just look the percentage of Hindus in East Pakistan in 1951 census and compare it to today (and post 1971)---Hindu population in Bangladesh, the very land where holiest Hindu river's delta is situation, was erased efficiently. Today, Bangladesh is an Islamic country with a rock solid Muslim majority, Muslim politics, and even Islam as the state religion. While Hindus went from near 25% of the population to less than 10% :agree:

And it doesn't suck at all. W.Pakistani establishment itself let Bangladesh go when they declared "Idhar hum, udhar tum"...Anyways, even the new state continued to be Islamic and cleansed Bengal of Hindus better than even we could. So it's alright..

Lastly, how does it feel to see your only homeland in the world divided into three parts--with two parts being ruled by the very people who divided it in the first place (And this is when I'm not counting Hinduism's utter destruction from Afghanistan at the hands of superior Islamic peoples!) :cheesy:

You are a defeated, humiliated, people who beat-down like wet dogs for thousands of years! You can vent on internet all you want, but can not change history :)

Point is 170 million Muslims today claim you lot killed 3 million of them....and they wont back down from that number.

I'd say thats a pretty high level of anger.

You can thank Hindu army for getting your 90,000 souls out of what would have been a complete lynching after they surrendered.

And you can thank Islamic peoples to give your god forsaken land a unifying existence, building the most iconic symbols of your land, giving you the most well known cuisine of your lands, and bringing civilization to you.

And this is just a start...lol...

That is a debate for another forum, not this one.
