LAHORE: Pakistan cricket chiefs have said they will sue India for failing to honour a 2014 deal to play a bilateral Test series.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) signed an agreement under which the South Asian rivals were due to play six series between 2015 and 2023, subject to clearance from the Indian government.

There has been no Test cricket between the two nations since 2007. Bilateral cricket ties were severed by New Delhi after it started blaming Pakistan behind all the major attacks in India.

Under the agreement India was to tour Pakistan in 2015, with Pakistan visiting its neighbour in 2017.

But the BCCI backed out from playing Pakistan — even in a neutral venue — saying New Delhi would not allow it amid strained relations.

“Two series have been defaulted,” said PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan. “We will write to BCCI and if they don’t respond then we will take the legal course as we demand compensation.”

Chairman Executive Committee PCB Najam Sethi said Pakistan was missing out financially, losing up to $200 million on four of the six series it was meant to host.

Tension between the neighbouring countries have escalated since September’s assault on a military base in Indian-administered Kashmir, again blamed on militants from Pakistan.

Last month the International Cricket Council docked India six women’s championship match points after failing to play against Pakistan.

“We were awarded full points after India failed to give any proof of government’s objection (in writing) and that’s why ICC took that action, so after that we are preparing that case,” said Khan.

Pakistan toured India for a short five-match limited over series, but it failed to restore full bilateral ties.

Phuck cricket promote olympics . Rishtadar eleven is of no use for national interest.

Pakistan started this game, as always starting something they can't finish.

Heck we even had Pakistani players in IPL, but for IPL 2 that was held in south Africa after Mumbai attacks, it was pak gov't that stopped their players from playing thus creating major last minute issues for teams.

Don't start something you can't finish.

Pakistan should complain to UN and China, btw very nice and well planned move by BCCI to deny them huge financial gain after showing them the carrot of course, we are baniyas for a reason

They need to sue BCCI for causing financial loss and hope to get something back in return. We are officially in a cold war situation with India.

Yeap we should sue them the main reason for suing India is to irk them any way possible as they are trying to irk us.Wheather by the use of proxies in Kashmir, border clashes, Messing with them in international arena on Afghanistan and now in sports . That's what happens when you mess with the falcon . Indians thought they would put us in line by applying these pressure tactics like it did for Bangladesh. It had back fired and we have bitten them on ***

MoU...

and the understanding did not developed into a relation.....

simple !!

Pakistan should go back to China again and ask them for a test match like it always does hehe

Kindly play cricket with Chinese Cricket team to take revenge on BCCI.
Lol Chinese will create a reverse engineered version of BCCI and Indian cricket team and then compel them to play against Pakistan.

From what I have heard they have already created a copied version of kohli but that guy turned out to be a dud just like most Chinese products

@padamchen wonder what do you have to say about the topic :D

Sir, that was our motive from the very beginning, to cause PCB a substantial financial damage

Pakistan is already playing with top nations like Australia, England, etc. Not sure why playing with Chinese team is funny.

Pakistan should team up with China and play two front cricket matches against us
