Pakistan PM rejects ‘independent Kashmir’

India should support and finance the movement for the Independence of parts of Kashmir held by Pakistan

It is not held but Azad Kashmir and also, w.r.t. Indian financing etc not just in Kashmir but allover Pakistan, shouldn't be the surprise.

I agree their is no possibility of an Independent Kashmir.

Would really love to see the reactions of Pakistanis on hearing the same slogans that are raised in the valley
Don't be so idiotic.

People in Pakistani Kashmir want to stay with Muslim Pakistan.

So? Kashmiri pundits have relationship with Hindu India and Buddhist in J&K have relations with India. What kind of logic is that?

It has historically been part of Indian subcontinent. And legally part of India.

And your violation of the standstill agreement forced the King to accede his territory.
Pakistan never violated the standstill agreement. The Maharaja was being dishonest by acceding a Muslim majority region to India.

indpendent kashmir cant be possible. india will not agree to such preposterous idea.
india wants the whole of kashmir. specially new govt will go to any level to get the kashmir on indian map.

there shouldnt be any talks of status quo anymore india needs to step it up for whole pie.

Pakistan wants all of Kashmir as well .

The Gilgit Scouts staged a rebellion in the Northern Areas under British command. As a result, this region became effectively a part of Pakistan (and has since been administered by Pakistan). Subsequently, Kabaili tribesmen (Mehsuds and Afridis) from the Northwest Frontier Province invaded Kashmir proper.

Now the Maharaja did what he should do. :azn:

That is where India get it wrong; thinks Kashmir is a pie. Speaks volume that how India sees Kashmir and proves them Kashmiris right when they speak of injustice, atrocities and mishandling of issue in the valley. Kashmir is not a pie, that is for sure.

yes agreed and they are fighting for it.
there is nothing wrong to have such desires.

but indian current govt is willing to loose it all for kashmir. its tougher stand which was never taken earlier.

thats why an independent kashmir cant be reality. both side want the pie. its about kashmir not kashmiri anymore.

strategic location if kashmir is too good to loose it.

Where is your sources otherwise your talk is useless.

Maharaja was being dishonest for acceding a Muslim majority State to India.

Good thing Pakistani irregulars caught some land and liberated some Muslims from the evil Maharaja despot.

Don't talk bullshit here, you will be caught.

For a Muslim Indian you sure talk a lot of crap.

Of course the Indian government only cares about land.

LOL, keep fighting over it. Pakistan isn't backing down either.

India will never reach its full potential as long it has two enemies on its borders. :enjoy:

dear brother i have no right to say for whole of india just like you alone wont represent pakistan.
but reality is at a bigger govt level kashmir is only a pie for either side. its context is too good to loose such place for ethics and righteousness.
we have water natural resources harvest stretagic location and ego all banking on this land. noone will go for plebiscite.
what can we two poor nation offer kashmir poverty religious fatacism dirtybpolitics ..... nothing i guess if they have even iota of neurons they will choose to stay away from both of us so we wont take no risk..

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Sunday rejected the idea of an “independent Kashmir”, saying it was not based on “reality” -
What "reality" is that, what the Kashmiris themselves want or what Pakistan wants for them?

yes thats one thing i am sure about that we will keep fighting for it. also as a nation we will keep planning and taking harder steps. longer it remains an issue harder it will be to let go. bigger will be the cost because then its all about ego and respect.
i am sure pakistan has similer pov.

Nice try though with your bullshit.

According to the UN resolutions its either Pakistan or India that the Kashmiris can vote for.

So what's your point?

Pakistan is all for democracy according to the UN resolutions.

So don't be a bloody hypocrite here @Solomon2

Dear, you just said you are not representing the whole India than how come claim as such for Pakistan. We do not or never treat Kashmir issue as a pie at all.

what can we two poor nation offer kashmir poverty religious fatacism dirtybpolitics .....

The time, such issue is being treated as Kashmir and not on the grounds of religious etc, it will be solved. I am not aware as such that Pakistan will call Kashmir issue as Religious or Islamic, at all but on other side, resistance is being portrayed as Islamic etc by India to divert attention.

nothing i guess if they have even iota of neurons they will choose to stay away from both of us so we wont take no risk

Therefore, as said, they have the right of determination.

Ask your mod who is active on the thread about what I said is true or false. It's pretty much the written history. Even your compatriots celebrate the tribal leaders who took part in the so called liberation.:D

Now you are telling me, Maharaja accede his territory to India overnight behind Pakistans back? Apparently every one of you has your own theories.

Kashmir was a princely state and British had given the authority to the rulers to decide which part to join. The ruler decide to stay independent while signing standstill with Pakistan and not with India.

And if every Muslim majority regions in India belong to Pakistan, there should be a lot of Pakistan's inside India. Which never happened, while British set guidelines for partition and divided territory. While Princely states were left out.
