lol parithvi III missiles is 2 stage missile ... first stage is of solid fuel while second stage is of liquid fuel

so the missile's first stage would fire up like a any solid-fueled missile...the second-stage would fire-up when it's air-borne...so there'd be no disadvantage.

Renowned nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan said Pakistan is fully capable of inflicting irreparable loss on India in the event of nuclear war with its neighbor, report said on Sunday. Talking to an Indian newspaper in an interview, Dr Khan claimed that India can neither harm Pakistan; nor can destroy Lahore; but contrarily, Pakistan is wholly armed to do the same. The nuclear scientist said neither Pakistan can conquer New Delhi and Agra; nor can India wreak havoc on Lahore or harm Pakistan. Dr Khan said the Muslims talk more and work less. Responding a query on US providing the civil nuclear technology to India, he said the US reposes trust in India not Pakistan, adding the US will not like to provide this technology to the Muslim countries.

But isn't the thread of the title little doubtful? Now considering that Pakistan has rapidly inducted various medium range missiles in its arsenal to target India. However, when taking a situation involving only India and Pakistan, don't you think that the Indians have already covered Pakistan with their SRBMs?

After all, you are neighbours and geography (considering the narrow width of Pakistan as seen on world map) is what determines which country is ahead.

The only missile that is yet to be inducted in Indian arsenal currently according to Reuters and Indian media are the "Agni-III" , "Agni-V" and the rumoured ICBM project "Surya" whose project existence is neither supported nor rejected by the Indian government. Strategically, New Delhi had Pakistan covered with their SRBMs itself..

But if you want to compare in terms of ranged weapons, you both are at an equal setting.

There is no Surya. Agni V is the next iteration of the Agni series.

as a matter of fact Pakistan also covers the whole India with SRBMs.As far as the ICBM is concerned we do not aim to conquer the whole world instead our only aim is and has been to to create a deterrence for India .As india is five times bigger and has an army five times bigger than us.:pakistan:

He is a Nuclear Scientist not and Aerospace engineer. Reaching Lahore is a different issue and Exploding a bomb is a different issue.
and both of us has the capability to fit the bomb on missile. whether 1T or 500kg bomb.

a 50kg Uranium or 15 kg Thorium Based bomb would do same distruction as done by 10 kg Plutonium based bomb irrespective of a TN weapon. India also has TN. and N weapons which can be tipped on Pirthvi.
I wonder, why a Nuclear scientist would give such statement???

it clear that niether india nor Pakistan can afford a Nuclear holocaust so if one strikes first than the other surely has the second strike capability. There is no winner or loser n a nuclear war between us both are gonna take alot and by alot i mean alot of damage so no good can be done by fighting on who is gonna win!

A few years back, there was no Arihant class of nuclear submarines either. Your government generated a hype initially and then kept denying the existence of such a project until last year when the submarine's news was released.

Don't you think looking at that trait, your government might have surprises for the world once more in this case with missiles? Personally, I don't approve of an ICBM as it reduces a country's trust among others and further promotes needless arms race and potential of a conflict with far-flung countries. But India has been a responsible country and the world has seen its evidence.

Just take of of the Left-wing extremists in your country to avoid getting them anywhere near an ICBM.

A rather sensible post, friend. Infact one of the very few that are seen on this forum. But I don't think that conflicts are necessarily to take the form of a nuclear one.

War has always evolved and so also it will now. No country would ever use nuclear weapons and would keep it as the last of the last option it has. conventional conflict will continue because nuclear launch by one country would trigger a chain reaction and end this world.

oh well i was wondering we have a News that Pakistan is ahead of India in Missile technology........ second news says India is ahead of China in missile technology

so that means Pakistan is ahead of China in that sense

and then who knows if tomorrow Iran claims they are ahead of Pakistan so that means they will automatically be ahead of Pakista, India and China

and what about North Korea? they might say we provided the technology to Pakistan and Iran so we are ahead of them  so in that senses North Korea will be the regional power in Missile technology :rofl:

^Its all Mixed up , but its true that we are ahead of them in Missile tech.

so u wana say ur army will use their agni for lahore, sialkot, qasur etc these are major cities of pak and are adjacent to indian border :cheesy: then what is the use of ur other short range missiles prithvis lol so u accept it those are useless :bunny:

prithvi's will be used in a tactical role whereas agnis are going to be used in a strategic role.Agni would give us strategic depth in case of losses to frontier areas.

Few things I want to mention....

1) India have developed its ow full closed cycle nuclear reactors indigenously. What about Pakistan?

2) India civilian labs are well open with information. Just go to DAE, NPCIL websites what about Pakistan?

3) India developed thermo-nuclear weapons. What about Pakistan?

4) India developed supercomputers capable of simulating nukes. What about Pakistan?

5) India developed nuclear reactor sor submarine what about Pakistan?

he counters himself in his two statements....well to trust a man who himself stole the technology and gave it to north korea by cheating his nation....cant be trusted..also this is one of the philosophical dreams we hear about everyday in this forum....let it be from some deserted scientist this time.......:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::wave::wave:
