Hi...

Time is passing.

We are at standstill.

These politicians are trying to ONE UP the Army and its Chief...

Never occurred in Pak's history when the appointment of incoming Chief has been made such a mess.

Politicians ARE TRYING to CONTROL the POST, ITS CHIEF AND THE ARMY.

They want to make Army Generals THEIR PRIVATE NAUKARS - history is testament of their attempts.

Imagine - they do this while in coalition government, what would they do if forms government with majority?

Politicians have shown their teeth...Army should respond back!!!

One political party is threatening to March towards Pindi while other one in government is creating issues on Army Chief Selection.

I will repeat - These political vultures SHOULD NOT be allowed to select the Army Chief...Army High Command or Outgoing Chief himself should decide. These so called politicians (actually Feudals) are seasoned snakes

A dirty game it is...Very Dirty.

I hope Mr. Bajwa would be able to steer his Army out of these well thought attacks.

Best wishes for Incoming Chief.

Pakistan Zindabad !!!
Glory to Pakistan Army.

It doesn’t decrease the power of the military, which is what it should do.

It just makes another rod for the people’s back

Generals are selected by US, the west and the global establishment, There is no way any politicians has a say here... Imran was removed as one of this reason that he would selected COAS on merit and US wouldve completely lost control of Pakistan. NS/SS have been given a list by the west who to select and they will make a selection. its just a drama.

Can't trust your "politicians", who are your elected representatives. Can't trust your military brass who meddle in, control even, your civilian government. What a mess. The human response to such has been, since the 1789 French Revolution, a revolution of the common people. A revolutionary committee then sends the elites to the guillotines. No more feudals. Unfortunately, this is then followed by a period of a new revolutionary "ruling elite", dictators, etc. It is hard to see what course Pakistan could take to avoid all that over the next 50 years. Maybe you could join (federate with) China. Accept the "benign" control of the CCP. Create your own Communist Party of Pakistan (CPP) apparatus. Subsume your Army to the PLA and surround India once and for all. Control your religious extremists as China does by making all religious hierarchies answerable to your new CPP. And then, all the while, develop a prosperous, educated, technocratic middle class alongside your Han buddies. Jannah on Earth...

Or, you could try a constitutional republic wherein basic human rights for all (including minorities) are guaranteed by the constitution, affirmed by the judiciary, and honored by the executive authority which controls the military by making all general officer appointments.
