Now Vietnamese will protest against the government for cracking down on riot when protest turn violent against Vietnam government then shit will hit the fan.

After riots if Vietnam government pay for the damage cost for all companies & factories, it will be lots of money and increases another financial burden for VN government, at last these money come from normal Vietnamese ppl's tax.
If Vietnam government won't pay for damages, many foreign companies & factories lost productions and equipments in this riots, even whole factory buildings burnt out by mobs. Most of them will bankrupt or lost their investments in Vietnam, even did not attacked by mobs but the factory shut down also lead to financial loss. Many Vietnamese workers also losing their jobs together, decrease "Made in Vietnam" export in 2014.
It doesn't matter what Vietnamese anti-China riots going on, it did not hurt China economy anymore. They just were destroying foreign investments and private companies & factories. For foreign investment, they need a safe environment to earn money not in a chaos political society, if not why not invest Somali where has cheaper workers ? The damaged companies & factories might shut down and dismiss local Vietnamese workers, the rest might consider withdraw capital to take care their money, move to other more security SEA nations.
Not like China world N.o2 economy market, before ur Vietnamese become rich u'd better keeping honestly work in the factory. It's truth now Vietnam economy is still weak, u can not do anything without foreign investments.

I agree with you. Riot is never good for any country. Hopefully it will over soon. A destabilize Vietnam is not good for Asia.
eventually, national IQ determines how far you can go.
we will not allow a destabilized vietnam.
as mentioned above, their capital city is less than 300km away from our border, when necessary, we surely will forcefully stabilize the region. the reason is clear, we can't afford to have tens of millions of vietnamese refugees crossing the border by using their social unrest as an excuse.
Depend on how the population respond to the arrest of the rioters that burn and loots factory during, over 500 rioters were arrest. Vietnamese used the excuse of government cracking down on protestor for anti China to turn on the government, you bet this will get ugly for Vietnam government to handle.

Respect their sovereign. Just let the Vietnamese help their own country. Sending PLA will only make the situation worse. And if you place them for a long time, it will also burden your economy. You can help with financial aid. The government will need money to repair the economy. But that if they want your money. If not, then just see the progress from a far. That's either Vietnam will crumble or back to their feet. I believe they can handle the situation without help.
But China can help the Vietnam Government by give them a favor in the oil rig incident. Like maybe you can share the profit. The Vietnam Gov can blame / accuse their "corrupt" official who took the join profit of the oil rig and didn't tell the central government about it and cause a miss understanding with China. And China blame a corrupt official to cause the tension. Then China can give Vietnam a goodwill aid to repair infrastructure. with that China can help Vietnam Government, and prevent a worse scenario that can happen to Vietnam. That if Vietnam is truly crumble because of this event. I doubt they will.

riots is broken, is unforeseen and demonstration is not permitted by local authority .
Taiwan and Singapore companies could go to Insurance companies first to request for the compensation if they have obey the law here in Vietnam.
base on term and condition of law for foreign investment in Vietnam. Insurance companies could bring the related local authority to court if it found that they neglected his responsibility under law. I think it should be the consider as "risk".
Its reported that about hundred of extremist were arrested.
what a bloody naive view. do you seriously believe that those foreign investors need your lecture on risks and insurance?

This a proof that basically Vietnam is copying China method. They are a truly student of China. Just look at they do. China smashed Japanese business, now they are copying. China claims all Paracel and Spratley, with historical claim (from even imperial time) now, Vietnam use the same claims, with historical backup too (from Feudal era?). So China, basically you have a good student. You must proud of them.
I said that it was not foreseen accidents.
