As per specs in the below comparison, empty Gripen is heavier than the Thunder.

Arguments of choosing JF-17 Thunder over JAS-39 Gripen | Page 25

The construction techniques used for the JF-17 are a generation or two older than the ones used for the Gripen, resulting in a heavier unloaded airframe that can carry only so much, given its engine.

Project 33 was started at around the turn of the decade in the late 70s. It was dropped by Russia in 1986. It was sold to China in 1998.

Would you like me to post up a scan of the relevant page from Jane's?
Let's cheer about Jane‘s great work which took a airplane model flew by a Chinese military lover as J-18:omghaha:

@VCheng is taking a short break. Its best not to engage him now that he can not respond.
Enforced or self imposed? In any case if you follow his pattern of operation, he will say something controversial, excite a lot of people into arguing with him, and once cornered, play his hurt soul card and disappear for a while. This has been repeated many a imes and at least I am used to it. Given half a chance he will return with more of the same.

If exported then there should be change of Radar and Avionics software so even if India gets hand on it there should be no problem.... we should take some measures...

Burma is a neighbor to both India and Bangladesh. There is very little chance of them sharing sensitive information with either of them.

Munir we have already discussed this. The consensus seemed to be that it would be better to wait for confirmation. Is there some news from your end; something specific?

Chak, one F7 is not the other... Same goes for one JF17 is not the other and neither are the pilots or the system. Do not think it will make that much impact even if the Indians get one.

Hi,

Miyanmar would have the same restrictions from pakistan & china that pakistan has on the F 16 from the U S. So--that should not be a worry. If they go for the JF 17---then they have made a very smart choice---.

Please use ignore list to eliminate trolling cycle, i.e VCheng's repeat arguments. :hitwall:

Sirs,

Vcheng is not a troll---he is just calling a spade a spade---. JF 17 is a great aircraft---an outstanding aircrft in its class. But it is not what pakistan needs----please understand---I didnot say paf---but pakistan. Pakistan needed a right in your face kind of air craft to give out message----which this aircraft does not deliver.

Plus the biggest loss the nation has suffered is about 10 to 15 yers of falling behind in equipment.

anyone wants to talk about having no cash---why don't you people not want to talk about making unconditional peace with india then.
