Infiltration bid foiled by security forces near Jammu

Jammu: Border Security Force (BSF) troopers foiled an infiltration bid from Pakistan at Samba sector of the border near Jammu early on Monday, an official said.

Troopers guarding the Ballad border post, about 55 km from Jammu, noticed some movement around 5 am and opened fire to challenge a group of people trying to infiltrate across the border into India.

"Our troops opened fire to challenge them. The firing went on from 5.10 am to 5.35 am," the official said.

The infiltrators were pushed back into Pakistani territory and an extensive search operation was launched for any person who might have sneaked in, the official said.

India shares about 200 km of international border (IB) with Pakistan from Punjab up to what is known as the Chicken's Neck area near Jammu. After that there is 720 km of Line of Control (LoC) up to Ladakh

Please don't turn this into another India vs Pakistan thread. It doesn't matter who started it, and frankly, I consider both governments and armies as liars. Both sides need to show some humanity.

hindus also attacked on pakistan indian dosti bus ye log pagal o gaye hain...:sniper:

Why dont we frikkin mine the entire border 3 times over. Let no animal be able to pass through without exploding twice over.

Because we'll shoot you if you try that at the LoC border. Unless your soldiers want to catch a few bullets to their head they should stay clear of the LoC.
