Point 5353 don't have much strategic importance like Tololing or Tiger Hill. It lies on LOC which was authenticated on a map jointly by Lt Gen. P.S. Bhagat of India and Lt Gen. Abdul Hamid Khan of Pakistan on a map on December 11, 1972.

After feeling a humiliation in Kargil, Pakistan needed something to keep themselves enthusiastic, point 5353 provided that hope. :lol:
