What's new

I hate my girlfriend, because i love my car.

Well, the one car in my family belongs to my brother, and I generally keep telling my family that personal vehicles should be banned. Every year in India there are 450,000 road accidents which result in 150,000 deaths and this is other than the injuries, crime, pollution, chaos and disharmony resulting from the personal vehicles which in India must be around 750 million.

So your family too doesn't give two hoots to your opinions? That's shocking.

It is like your family and that of billions of other students putting faith and confidence in their your intelligence and talent only after being shown school and college degrees.

Is beautifully restored and chassis is in good condition given her age.

Thank you, here’s hoping I bag it.
Last time I saw a good one of these in the US, it cost around 20k USD.......

I will probably just pay 7 grand for a Humvee.. Bullet hole come in separately..

There are still quite a few in Pakistan some are in very good shape, some not so much.

We have a few captured Humvees from ANA when they crossed the border and fired on FC soldiers, as you can see the ANA came out worse off on that occasion.

Another three were captured from Talibasatards:

Geez, you shot 50 cal on the windscreen??

You are not supposed to do that...It crack...

Anyway, joke aside, they are dirt cheap in the US at the moment, you can get a decent one less than $5000 already demilitarized, but a friend of mine actaully own one and say it's a giant hassle to maintain it. The jeep you want on the other hand is the testament of US automotive industry, the Humvee on the other hand, is how low ball our government can go. It's heaven and earth...

Get the jeep and don't look back....

Hahaha, yeah I have a love for the original JEEP. My grandfather had one, so did my father, so I want to continue the tradition. 🙂

Jeep is good but not the recent one, like Cherokee or Wrangler, my grand father also had a willy when he "Allegedly" stole it off an Army base (He was a bombardier of a B-17 crew during WW2) and hide it in our family barn. We sold that when we sold the farm as well, probably should have kept it, because he spend almost his life on that Jeep, and keeping it tip top shape, I don't think he drove other car or SUV.

Haha that story about your father is amazing. 🙂

In Pakistan ask anyone old enough and they all have a love of old American cars. Impalas, Capris, and Oldsmobiles.

Those cars were built to last. On the subject of jeeps- there is an entire area of Golra (outskirts of Islamabad) which is a graveyard for old army vehicles- these often get auctioned to the public:

Yeah, old American car have soul, the new one is just junk (I am serious, I mean who in the right mind will go for a Buick LeSabre, or Chevy Nova, by the way, Nova mean No Go in Spanish).......Once upon a time I was in love with a Studebaker once but back then I was quite young and a good one of those are REALLY expensive (like 20-30K) and I can't afford it. When I have money, I have a family, then I get a Lexus and then traded in for a XC-40, which my wife drove now.

Man, wish that I live in Pakistan seeing all these old classic, it's like when people told me if you want nice old American car, you need to go to Cuba.
