Hillary Clinton: "We discovered Japan for Heaven sakes"

Hillary Clinton: "We discovered Japan for Heaven sakes".

No wonder she is called a Crook by Trump . What i am surprised abt this election is how the american media is acting like a stooge to its Political masters and Businessman like here in India. Why the media is not concentrating on her email issue, her paid speeches and the illegal money she received through her Clinton foundation all the media is highlighting is some women saying she was groped by Trump this election makes everyone wonder the free media in america is a myth

Dude don't get me wrong. But daily mail? Come on..

I don't believe anything that I hear about China in Western news sources by the way. Even most prestegious ones are downgraded to the level of Daily Mail when they are writing an article about a foreign country.

Even US voters don't believe in US media. Why should I believe it from Turkey? And why do they write those articles really? Do they think large masses in China will read this, believe in this so much that they will try to make a revolution and overthrow their own government?

When Demcratic Party mails were hacked&released during DNC and how they rigged their own primary process was publicized, Democrats said such hacked materials are being used by Russia to influence US elections. Then your very unbiased media immediately stopped digging what actually happened in Democratic Primaries (which is by the way the backbone of American democracy if you ask me) and they attacked Trump for cooperating with Russia.

Now let me give you a similar answer.

Panama leaks are used by US media to influence Chinese public.

I don't know if you're a democrat or republican but I hope my answer has satisfied you.

So right, after Iraq WMD fiasco, why would anyone with common sense continue to believe in the western media. They have been calling a China collapse for last 30 years and you see the results.

The west is so arrogant and believes it's their destiny to spread democracy (or chaos) around the world. they forgot democracy is not the ends but the means to get justice and being prosperous. They forgot a system born out of their tradition, their unique culture background does not necessary fit with the others.

Most of poor countries are democratic, the East Asian countries during their economic rise phase are not democratic. Heck, I would argue the benevolent dictatorship is the best government system (sort of like Singapore). In any society there is injustice but you have to look at the whole picture, are we improving or are we stagnating. Chinese government is no saint, but they deliver, common folks have a shot.

Very good points indeed. Besides let's not forget that the most violent dictators are the ones that are elected. Elections, especially in poor and/or uneducated countries, lead to voting for populist candidates that promise fantasy. In the past such fantasies claimed millions of lives. Today there are no such all in type of wars but still such fantasies damage the country and stagnate the economy for years.

I don't see any fantasy seeking risk takers in the ranks of CPC. They are predominantly extremely realist technocrats. That's why portraying CPC similar to European type dictatorship will only make people laugh in China. That's why such articles never work in far East. People material is extremely different.

You mean your China never had that evangelistic passion: destiny to spread Marxism/communism/Mao-ism around the world ? Am willing to guess that you never lived thru the Cold War. Considering your system collapsed -- ignobly and spectacularly -- who is the really arrogant one here ?

Democracy does not guarantee economic success, but seeing how Europe is both democratic and economically successful, especially after the devastation of WW II, people are more than willing to give the democracy-capitalism a chance.

A benevolent dictatorship ala Singapore ? News flash for you: EVERY dictator believes he is benevolent.

Lee Kwan Yew, and any like him, are actually statistical outliers. The world have a very poor track record of having benevolent dictatorships.

Yeah yeah yeah, save your lecture for poor Iraqis or Syrians or Libyans or Philippines, oh oh didn't Pinoy just jump ship to China to seek development and infrastructure, instead of getting some 60s era second hand ships? What can you bring to Philippine or the middle east, peace and prosperity or but chaos and destruction?

Can you provide billions and billions of low interests fund/loan to them, can you build badly needed infrastructure for them, or just this arrogant condensing attitudes to little brown brother.

Yeah...Yeah...Yeah...Political scientists attributed what happened in the ME as more because of the ingrained social issues than of ideologies and politics. When we removed Saddam Hussein and the political system that Iraq was living under, what else were we supposed to replace that system with ? Install another dictatorial political infrastructure ? Sure, there were plenty of Saddam-like candidates. Throw a rock and you would hit one.

I have a better question for you: Where was China when Venezuela was on the decline ?

When Chavez publicly insulted the US and made overtures towards China, you PDF Chinese cheered and made all sorts of predictions on how China will gain an ally and a geopolitical foothold in the Americas, right in the US backyard.

Where is China in regards to Venezuela ?

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-venezuela-economy-idUSKCN0Y71VB
China has lent some $50 billion to Venezuela in that arrangement over the last decade, and markets are watching to see if Beijing will help President Nicolas Maduro's socialist government as it struggles with recession, shortages and reduced oil revenue.
At least Venezuela has oil. What does the Philippines have to offer to China in return for all those loans and aid ? Really -- nothing. And even the Filipino members on this forum knows it -- nothing to offer. By the way, Venezuelan crude is among the least desirable in the world. What China have been doing with Venezuelan crude was to buy them off Venezuela and resold them to US gulf refiners, who put Venezuelan crude at the lowest priority in the processing queue. To make matter worse, China negotiated with Chavez to where Venezuela would actually pay the transportation cost so in the end, China made out.

Here is the reality, son...

China do not need the Philippines, not even as a geopolitical accessory. Duterte is making the same mistake for the Philippines as Chavez did and Maduro is making now in Venezuela. If you want to use the ME as example on what would happens in dealing with the US, then the Filipinos should use Venezuela as example on what China would do to the Philippines.

Sorry, the dutch did that.

Wow!! You guys are all reading this so wrongly. She means the US beat the Europeans to trading with Japan. That's what she means by discovering them first. The Europeans have always been secondary to Japan ever since.
Sorry the dutch were the first at that

In 1609. Us showed up 1854.....
