As far as my little knowledge

ARTILLERY is very important part of any battlefield. But it takes a time to reload as compare to MLRS

MLRS systems pose a threat given its accuracy they are very destructive with their barrage of rockets. But it has done little contribution in battlefield as compare to artillery

Today armies in world give serious focus on artillery than MLRS both have same idea of use

Want to know why MLRS not bought sold and manufactured as ARTILLERY wide range of system

Why pak did not bought PLZ 055 ARTILERY from china

Chinese SR 05 MLRS is similar to our A 100 MLRS

Depends on doctrine.

Regarding conventional warfare;

NATO doctrine allows for maximum utilization of conventional artillery.

Soviet / Modern Russian Doctrine allows Maximum utilization of conventional artillery and MLRS also.

Generally speaking, if you are facing Russia in conventional warfare, being under Russian MLRS range means you have already been bypassed by Russian spearhead assault forces and are either in the process of being cut off from all friendly forces or you have already been completely surrounded.

For a classic display of Soviet / Russian doctrine effectiveness look at the situation in Ukraine and the number of times Ukrainian forces no matter how large, eventually got surrounded and pounded by artillery and MLRS until they were rendered ineffective. I believe they called them "cauldrons". That techniques is so effective even under-equipped separatists without air cover were successful in employing it.

I think MLRS , are more or less quick fire , quick impact , quick destruction or Dushman's troops and battle formations.
Once you fire the 6-7 rockets you are eager to move the trucks away as you are done , it can quickly wipe out fast but then you are done as you don't have ammo left

Artillery is more less , bit slower yet impactful tool ideal for pushing back enegy lines as whole , destroying structures
Ammo is ample comes in trucks

MLRS is ideal you cause MAXIMUM damage

Artillery and MLRS have their own applications. Artillery can be deployed in fixed positions as an artillery post. Their projectiles cost less as compared to guided rockets. Artillery can be used from distance for punishing enemy positions but its effectiveness can be questioned when enemy's infantry advances on a wide horizon with handsome amount of troops. MLRS can target quickly the positions of enemy and can scoot after doing its job. MLRS use is still limited because only conventional wars needs such kind of equipment. Artillery can be used in anti-terrorist ops and border skirmishes.

Bhai good question. But both are apples and oranges . And ur perception is wrong . Artillery means cheap means of fire power when compared with MLRS . MLRS has many drawbacks when compared to artillery . Like once you fired all your rockets it has to be required with the help of support vehicle . But MLRS has advantage over artillery too . Which is huge destruction in very short time .

Think aboyt this ! SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE . Artillery takes few time to Fire Load Fire every time . But the fire is sustained with huge cache of Ammunition ((Shells)) Which are easy to carry , transport and can be produced in large numbers . Same way we use Machine guns and Grande ...

History making shot from 2/11 Golf Battery using a new Excalibur gps guided round. Shot from 22 miles away direct on target in support of 1/6 Marines engaged in combat. This fire mission set a all time record for distance and was the first time the Excalibur round was used in combat. Fired from a Howitzer 777 artillery gun.

Too my understanding during beginning of the war I will bombarding all enemy concentration and armored column to destroy or damage them physically morally afterwards artillery will help to finish rest of my enemy.

Good replies but again if you need destructivd power with speed you can sacrifice and add few crew with MLRS because MLRS gives you quick result just imagine quick burt of barrage of rockets not onlt destroy ground forces but can destroy atack helo near that area it is advantage bacause 6 rockets at one area of impact can destroy hovering enemy helo in that area to
