Featured Anatolian Eagle 2021 - JF-17 To Pitch Against Rafale and Vipers

Don’t worry about the Rafales, the Qataris flying them were literally trained by the PAF, we’ve had this discussion before. Qatari media reported years ago that the first pilots and ground crew to train on their Rafales were Pakistani…The PAF knows everything it needs to about them.

Let’s focus on the JFs for now, they’ll learn some new stuff for sure, can’t wait for the pictures.

You are very wrong. We know the JF-17 with PL-15 is invincible against the Rafale based on all the expert talk here on PDF. There is no way anyone here can argue against it. I don't even understand why you guys keep comparing the mighty Thunder against the Rafale, the Thunder needs to be pitted against better aircraft. There are no victories against the already conquered -- at least on PDF. However, the outside world is starkly different.

we are discounting the raffle draw plane bcos it will be flown by Indians…. So a Qatari piloted raffle draw plane is good simulation of india

agreed. but the Qataris may not let dassault know. furthermore, PAF can monitor, take measurements & metrics of the rafale's radar & irst and then predict the possible behavior of the indian rafale's radar & irst.

Its not about qatar, dassault will get the data due to agreements signed during purchase. However, your second statement is more or less what every air force does in these excercises, observe the flight performance and develop tactics accordingly.

Gosh....this again.....

cric
its hardly a football or cricket match. not a one on one match.
if the two jets take role of defenders or aggressors then each side will be complimented with other jets and support.

under very strict exercise parameters which can't be used as dick waving right by one force against other.
JF17 is an underdog and its limitations are established. the exercise will be way beyond scoring kills.
Remember the Indians did that with the US.

This is called the Turk Devlet Akl!!! Now, folks might understand why Katar went out for a shopping spree - Rafales, F-15s, Typhoons etc.!!!

It's an opportunity to fine tune the Turkish indigenous AESA radars, EW/EA systems (EHPOD, HAVA-SOJ, KORAL etc.), BVR/WVR missiles, AD systems etc. and tactics to take on the Rafales....

TurAF is getting on the learning curve to tackle the Greek Rafales in this AE exercise in Konya, the Dergah of Hazret-i Mevlana....

What'll PAF learn and implement?!?!

Would be nice to see how JF17 Does vs the Rafale Jets, having it also go against the F16 Turkish birds , very interesting match up

Too bad a handful of F-15 were not available from Saudia to be mix

A treasure trove in the form of data of these exercises is about to fall in PAF's lap. Nothing value more. Sending Thunders to such exercise by PAF itself speaks volumes about the confidence they have on their own fighter.

There is no confidence being exhibited here. They need to assess foreign pilot's capabilities and their training on those machines. Its for assessment & training purposes only. JF is not going to do any wonders there specially against Rafales. Most probably it would keep up with F16s, get *** handed down by Rafales and based on this knowledge they will think what aircraft to buy next/ what weapon to integrate/ or what targets to achieve in block 4 (if there's any)

Just found out that Azerbaijan will participate with it's MiG-29 Fulcrums.

This will be important as if JF-17 does good against the Mig and other participants, the chances of the sale will go up exponentially. Very good idea for Azeris to bring in their premier fighter to gauge the strengths and weaknesses of Thunder
