What's new

4 countries that want ISRO to fail

I.e hundreds of millions, billions over the years going anywhere and swallowed up

The U.K alone could have paid for this pointless moon trip many times over

That's why they are pissed
As rightly someone points out 👇

Absolutely enjoying the meltdown from across the world.

That's so bad, we will do it again 🙂

On the positive end, the CH3 mission has received more international coverage than Indians might have expected
We all wanted Russia to succeed. Russians also want the same for India. Russians are not insecure because of this one failure. They built the space station with collaboration with ISA, sent many missions to moon and sent astronauts in space etc. I know that they did that when USSR was intact in 1960's. They are not the same now after the breakup, but still have lot of scientific temper to achieve big things.

It's not a meltdown

Everyone knows it's PR exercise by India and little more,

They don't get the Hindu WhatsApp version of news that Indians do

So for the world

It's
Monday - Gang Rape in Manipur
Tuesday - hindutva riots
Wednesday - poverty
Etc etc

They all know their countries give aid to India
Some to safeguard women, others children

Then 50 years after the U.S land a man in the moon, here comes india and lands a small probe

Then they make a big deal about it

All these westerners are thinking why they are giving billions in aid to help needy in India and Indians are spending money to send a probe to the moon?
Fine if they stop all aid. We are not begging for it. We all know how much they looted from India. So, don't give that bull crap about how we should be indebted to them. We don't owe them any gratitude for token aid. Shashi Taroor aptly countered their arguments in his Oxford speech.

Pakistan is only interested in one question.

How can India successfully launch surgical strikes on the moon but cannot prevent accidental cruise missiles launches?

Which western country is giving aid to India and how much in 22-23?

India's net aid to foreign countries stood 2.2 billion dollars around the same period.

Being taken for a ride! India lands on moon after taking ÂŁ2.3bn in UK aid over five years

The UK paid India ÂŁ2.3billion in overseas aid to India between 2016 and 2021 - even though Britain's economy is a fraction of the size.

Britain to increase aid to India by 70% days after it launches space mission

If you go to Chinese space related threads, most Indians even don't wish any chinese to fail. Its only chinese folks that come to our space and science related threads with malice in their mind.
Not true, Chinese didn't think of Indians at all until a whole bunch of internet trolls sweeped the internet spreading hatred against them, Indians are quite famous for that alongside organised propaganda which just makes it worse

India has its problems but it is doing well in the areas that a country is supposed to.

(1) Economic recovery and a solid GDP growth rate

(2) Lifted a large number of people out of poverty - more people than the entire population of Pakistan since 2001

(3) Due to (2), Indian GDP per capita is better than that of Pakistan

(4) Internal reforms that have started to pay off

(5) Due to (1), India is drawing global attention and investments

----

India used to be a backward country but it began to put things in shape for itself after 2001.

Landing a robot on the moon is not a small feat. This is a sign that Indian scientific base is growing. This is an achievement that will encourage a generation of Indians to serve their country and help it do more and better in the years to come.

In view of this development, one has to wonder what else India is becoming good at. Indian technology can no longer be taken lightly.

Scientific projects are not stopped because a segment of society is living in poverty.

SUPARCO is training people for how to use satellite systems for scientific applications and research. This should stop because a segment of society is living in poverty?

Credit should be given where due, and lessons should be learned from achievements of others. It is sad to see how some Pakistani think.

Credit should be given where it is due.

Full credit and congratulations to NASA, European and UK space Agencies who made this possible.
