What's new

Was the Taj Mahal originally an ancient Hindu temple?

Burn it to ground and bring back vedic bharat

I suggest you look at our tourist threads and compare the both.

What's the point? You barely know anything to even begin an honest assessment. You say Mughal architecture was better thanIndian architecture. While I personally love Mughal architecture, do you have any idea about the various different kinds of India architecture there were before the Mughals came and tore everything apart. The Mughals destroyed as much of Indian heritage as they could. They demolished so many temples that historians and archeologists have still barely scratched the surface as to the actual scale of the destruction.

Sample this, an edict by Aurangzeb to destroy all temples that came before his eyes:

26.jpg

Exhibit No. 26: All the temples on the way to be destroyed. Siyah Akhbarat-i-Darbar Julus 25, Ramzan 18 / 21st September 1681.

“(The Emperor) ordered Jawahar Chand, Darogha of the beldars, that whichever temples come in the way (of the Emperor) be demolished”.

If you visit Humpi in Karnataka, you will see an entire city that was razed by the Muslim invaders, thereby destroying the Vijaynagar empire. Same was the case with Chittorgarh.

What is the point? You have based your assessment upon what has been left behind by those who destroyed everything that came before them. And yet, even there, you are wrong in assessing that what they left behind is better than what remained which they couldn't destroy. Mughals couldn't build anything close to the Dilwara Temples in Mt. Abu, by far the best work of architecture that I have personally seen. The Hagia Sophia in Istanbul could have been better at one time, but then again, Islamic vandalism made it into a caricature of its pristine self.

Tombs, masjids and all other structures. For someone who does not even EXIST. :disagree:

So?

It was totally justified for him to do that as a Ghazi anyway. The Hindus failed to defend themselves.

You need to read how the Prophet himself sent the temples in Arabia to the pages of history. What wrong did Aurangzeb do then?

I believe this mystery should be resolve once for all by repeating Babri Masjid style demolition of Taj Mahal just to find out the ancient ruins of Hindu temple. I stand by my bhagwan fearing RSS hinduvati neighbors and their grave concerns regarding Taj.

Ghazis are not alone in this. My history teacher (Marxist historian) once distributed an article in class that explained the "symbolism" of Aurangzeb's temple destruction programme - as to how that was inherently anti-bourgeois in a Marxist mumbo-jumbo way, thereby making Aurangzeb a true Marxist hero. She was also convinced that the Babri Masjid demolition was the beginning of "politics of hate" in India.

Liberals, Marxists and Islamists have formed an alliance of the blind - where none of them realize that they are each others natural enemy and when the dust settles, they will have to fight each other for survival.

Yes ofcourse, 10 legged half human half elephant half monkey godess exists and is watching over us; and the other 300 million gods also exist. It is why Hinduism is the fastest growing religion in the world, and it is why Hinduism will over-take Christianity as the worlds largest religion by 2050; it is why Hindus are constructed the worlds largest buildings, it is why Hindus managed to spread from Morocco to Indonesia, Central Africa to South Russia.

All hail Hinduism! The most civilized and advanced culture/religion in the world.
