may be fake,after all their is always a need of Russian friendship acclimation war between Indian and Pakistani members here, but no one have a bit of knowledge how the global powers plan and do matters ,just for a moment think of rivalry between Indian and China yet they both are getting s400, and one can imagine rivalry between NATO and Russia and Turkey is a member of NATO but still Turkey is getting S400, so my suggestion is this that there is no permanent friendship and rivalry in global politics,its matter of interest, though there are very slim chances of Pakistan getting s400 but many things can happen,and last thing mooooooony is not a big issue for Pakistan,if we are happily giving India 4 billions in trade deficit we can manage 5 billions for Russia too,

Pakistan might be in talks with Russians on S400. But the source seem fake. A more credible news report might help.

China is not buying S-400 they have compareble or better system like HQ-19(Chinese PAC-3) HQ-26 (Chinese THAAD) there was a talk between china and Russia but deal fell through

states like China are well connected with Russia.. there is no comparison between your relation with Russia and China relation with Russia.. in general S-400 may be defensive platform.. but it will change whole equation...

India never objected to Pakistan buying Helos from Russia. Or Objected to any joint exercises. Except the one's happening in your side of Kashmir which Russia obliged.

But, I don't think Russia would sell you S-400 in the near future as it jeopardize India's strategic advantage and we have a very warm relation with Russia I don't think Russia would do something like that.

And we are getting the 400 KM range S-400 system while China get's the 250KM range one.

MR-SAM and LR-SAM both have high possibility we have enough MR sam's and even our cortales had/are going to be upgraded from Thales. See what all this yeilds but Paf is more into these 2 cats .

Who said they are retired?? I can even spill out sqn's names who have then there r 3 types of crotales in Paf 1 is the original one's which paf it self acquired half of whom are retired then the Libyan's who still have got plenty juice left in them last one r crotale 2000 which r upgraded form or newer than the orignal one paf have/had got. Roughly there are 5 sqn which r still in service. Another thing we all have to keep in mind is that FM 90 are copies of crotals in upgraded form so crotale platform is still not outdated.

I previously questioned the capabilities of S400 along with medium range or shaort range SAMS of Russian origin due to poor performance in Syria, no one answered me. Is it safe to get SAMs which have so far proved ineffective against superior USA Missiles/Jets along with Israel's in Syria.

The pictures of destroyed SAMS of Syrian forces have been shown on this forum and previously news are there that even Israel's F16s have targeted sensitive sites even in Damascus.

Please do not comment that Syria have old SAMs as new ones already been provided to Syria.
Further India also getting same SAMs so certainly one may assume that they shall get better version as compared to Pak.

I have previously suggested and same is advice of many serious members that in order to get economy and level of secrecy Pak should go for Chinese HQ 9 which has now been developed and even upgraded. The best deal should be of LY 80 upgraded with 70+KM range and HQ9.
