Urdu Exiled, Welcome Hindi

with hindi/urdu you will be able to communicate with 1+ billion people, with bangla hardly 300million?
Pakistanis/Indians are all over the globe learning their language will make them adjust better.

But Hindi and Urdu is Indian language. It is not a BD language....So if someone has to learn any foreign language, learn, English, Japanies, Chines or something which is valuable. By learning Hindi or Urdu, you can only watch silly bollywood movies...nothing else..All the Indian or Pakistan who are outside know to talk in English....

Hindi is more widespread language than Bengali and understood by almost all linguistic groups in India. I think u should let go of this unnatural and illogical language phobia.

"Bengali Muslim" is the second largest Muslim group after Arab Muslims.

So to communicate with 2nd largest group of muslims, I suggest both of you take basic Bengali lesson.

Learn it if you are interested but don't ignore your national language.

1.Those days Bangala used to be written in Persian or Arabic script. Our earliest known poet Aloal used to write thus. Incidentally, Aloal was a court poet and an artillery general of Arakan Sultan.
2.Bengali language as we know today was formulated by the Christian missionary Kerry who was commissioned by the East India Co for the purpose. Basically a clerk in the employ of the Co, Kerry hired a Hindu pundit to assist him. As such the language is heavily influenced by Sanskri.

I don't see the problem. Pakistanis don't speak Urdu, they prefer English.

Why should the Bangladeshis?

Urdu is a Indian language which is mixture of Hindi with Persian words.Bangla is created from Sanskrit and its a very sweet language. That's make Pakistanis n Bangladeshis related to India as long as they speak these languages. I will suggest go for Arabic simply.

When I was in school as a kid we used to have cultural exchange programme aired on PTV once a month under SAARC cultural exchange wherein they used to air Music including Bangla. Programme produced by Bangladesh and it used to be a TREAT.

Now thanks to India she had fked it off as well just like all other peaceful means i.e Arts and Artists

I don't see the problem. Pakistanis don't speak Urdu, they prefer English.

Why should the Bangladeshis?

We are just ruining our rich language. Nothing to be proud of.

Well-educated South Indians don't like to speak Hindi. They can speak in English, why learn Hindi? I havehave scores of highly educated South Indian friends and most of them told me they know a smattering of Hindi but don't like speaking in Hindi at all. These are thankfully people with some backbone unlike some panderers and North-Indian false-flaggers that infest this forum.
Do you apparently mean any south Indian who speaks hindi is not so "highly educated"? ,man you generalise too much. I care very less about your scores of friends bro...you can speak of your experience and i can speak of mine , but please dont sound so insecure to call anyone a false flagger who's views are different than yours. And you like it or not more and more people from south are able to speak hindi, and the number is increasing..anyways happy Sunday!!

Sorry to say, your Bengali doesn't feels like the Bengali spoken in West Bengal.I never heard Bengali Muslims from West Bengal using words like fikar, dissi.
No, Muslims in rural Bengal never speaks Urdu. They don't understand it.

I come from deep speaking tamil country and almost my whole extended family of current generation has learned Hindi in school now (I am only one that learned it more weird way through movies and friends and such because I lived outside country for most of my life).

It will be even more so for next generation. TN integrates more and more with India each generation. KA, KE AP TE already have done so for large part.
True ,thats what i have said to him above, older generation might have found it difficult to understand hindi, but presend and next generation are and will get more integrated and understand hindi with ease...tamil nadu though is least integrated in terms of understanding hindi, but they are slowly closing the gap with other south indian states.
