It is the Durand Line, named for the British colonial official who drew it up to separate Imperial Britain’s Indian possessions from Afghanistan — dividing traditionally Pashtun lands between Afghanistan and what would later become Pakistan.

Pakistan to control all movement on Afghan border by 2020: Nisar

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar said Wednesday that Pakistan will control all traffic from Afghanistan through six dedicated routes by 2020.

"The border [between Afghanistan and Pakistan] stretches over more than 2,400 kilometres. We need to improve its management," Nisar said.

He was speaking at a press conference near the Torkham Border in Landi Kotal, Khyber Agency.

"Peace between the two countries is inter-linked," he said. "Pakistan wants free movement and welcomes the Afghan people, but terrorist infiltration needs to be curbed," he added.

Nisar said that no terrorist networks or headquarters were functional in Pakistan currently, claiming that terrorists have either been killed or have fled the country following the 'historic' Operation Zarb-e-Azb.

He added that certain rogue elements were now operating from across the Pak-Afghan border. "These people sneak across the border, enter our country, and attack our citizens like cowards," he said.

"We've always helped the Afghan people in their time of need. But terrorists took advantage of unregulated movement on our borders," Nisar said, adding that terrorists have been infiltrating Pakistan by hiding among ordinary citizens.

"[Every unscrupulous element] who enters Pakistan enters in broad daylight, but we have kept our promise with Afghanistan not to publicise this," he said.

But Afghanistan does not return the gesture, Nisar noted. "[Instead] they accuse us publicly of things we haven't even done," he said.

He urged the Afghan government to 'respect' the shared interests of both countries and its people, and avoid getting influenced by 'others'.

"Don't play games [dictated by] others," Nisar said.

He later added that offices of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) as well as a visa centre would be established at the Torkham Border in the future.

Nisar said the federal government has released Rs70 billion over the course of a year and a half to expand the Frontier Corps.

"FC personnel will be employed and deployed in large numbers to uncontrolled routes that terrorists are using to sneak into Pakistan," the interior minister said.

"I want to tell the people of Pakistan that the war against terrorism hasn't ended yet."

Its your habit to repeat what i am saying .

Afghans and Indians are having relations even before the creation of Pakistan.

Afghan Government has signed peace agreement with Hizb-i-Islami and even talks are being held with the real Taliban.

Pakistan pushed this agreement forward to have there man inside the Kabul parliament. Gulbuddin Hekmatyar along with his family is living in Pakistan...that should tell you the whole story behind this peace deal. The real Taliban are the Haqqani network and they are again controlled by the ISI. Seriously have you been hiding under a rock?

Even the Taliban leader Mullah Omer and its leadership have issued the same statement.

Pakistan resumes shelling in Kandahar, Kunar provinces of Afghanistan
By Khaama Press - Thu Dec 22 2016, 7:25 pm
The Pakistani military has resumed artillery shelling in southern Kandahar and eastern Kunar provinces of Afghanistan as Afghanistan summons the country’s ambassador to lodge a protest over indiscriminate shelling.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan (MoFA) said the Pakistani Ambassador to Afghanistan Syed Abrar Hussain was summoned over the recent artillery shelling from the side of Durand Line by Pakistani military and militia forces over Maruf district of Kandahar and Sarkanu district of Kunar.
kandhar and kunar are ISIS and TTP areas along with paktika. Afghan government don't have any rit on most parts. ISIS is present mostly in those areas.

Ground realities are different my friend. Afghanistan can't solve this problem unless their masters want to. Afghan bureaucracy is under indian influence and establishment is US slaves.
in battle for kandhar Mullah Omer offered unconditional surrender only if they are treated well and allowed to leave in peace. Karzai accepted and said that we are brothers but his master US didn't accepted the offer and now war is still going on even after 15 years.
How could a government make decisions when they are 100% dependent on foreign aid.
