The former Afghan President Hamid Karzai has said the so-called Durand Line will never be recognised as official border between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Speaking during an event in Kabul, Karzai said the line has remained a controversial issue between the two nations for many years, imposed by outsiders.

Karzai further that Afghanistan’s reluctance to recognise as formal line will never mean enmity with Pakistan, insisting that the residents located along the line should decide regarding it and not the nations.

This is not the first time the former Afghan President has spoken against the controversial line.

“When Pakistan came into being in 1947, they received it this way, so we are not blaming them but Durand Line is a blow which no Afghan can ever forget. We do not accept this border but will not fight over this issue,” Karzai said during an interview in June.

Earlier Karzai said the Pakistani leadership wanted recognition of Durand Line during his tenure in a bid to improve ties between the two nations.

The porous Durand Line has also been a source of tension between Afghanistan and Pakistan where numeous cross-border attacks have been carried out during months and years.

Militants and terrorist groups are actively operating along the Durand Line and frequently carry out insurgency activities.

We don't give 2 F***ks about your opinion..

Just keep fencing the border and kick the Afghanis out one by one ..

That'll teach them a lesson .

Kabul Establishment is a joke.
International community keeps ignoring Afghanistan problem.

Its a hotchpotch of Uzbaks Tajiks and Pashtuuns.
Persian speakers and Pakhto speakers.
And there is no independent Consolifated National Federation.

Afghanistan should cease to exist. Divide it into Two countries as it naturally should be.

If Afghanistan have to be one country then fist International community should help it to establish proper democratic state. Or a even an Empowered Autocracy would work.
But It can never exist as an indian proxy state.
Just like the previous Pakistani Proxy establishment of Taliban, This lunatic Indian proxy state will see same fate unless they take some sense and take an indipendent stand regarding there nation.

Pakistan is a strong state and there master india have no direct border with them. So this formulae of an Anti Pakistan Mouthpeace will never work. Kabul cannot even afford a one month war against Pakistan If all hell break loose as they are annoying Islamabad to the melting point.

Good..and this means Pakistan isnt wrong in shelling TTP positions across the border..neither in meddling or occupying parts of Afghanistan by proxy...Pakistan should table a resolution to annex Pashtun speaking parts of Afghanistan as semi-dependencies for better stability in West Asia. This imbecile turned Afghanistan into his personal piggy bank..while putting blame squarely on Pakistan for everything...

Follow the Hitler formula..team up with Russia and China and divide Afghanistan..

Wow Mr. Ajit Kumar doval is really working hard for our nation :)
Kindly tell Afghan puppet president that when Pakistan army bomb its palace no one will came to rescue his @ss, Afghan army can't stand one hour against Pakistani forces.
Just think how fast Saddam capture Kuwait, Pakistan could do it more swiftly but they are not fools to take your land full of poverty and retards.

This kind of populism has killed Afghanistan and is the reason why the country is doomed to misery in the future as well, unless it gains a visionary leader who can revamp the countries identity and idea of existence. The country has been named after one ethnic group which almost half the population does not belong to. Of course the ethno linguistic and religious fault lines will be huge in such a country. Poverty, corruption and nepotism only multiply it.
