Pakistan's paper guarantee is backed by nuclear weapons and a great relationship with China. Hard to beat that combo.

That's not how it works. Under the 1963 treaty between Pakistan and China, it is implicit that China may intervene in any area the Pakistani Army withdraws, retreats, or yields without consulting Pakistan's own government. (The treaty is carefully drafted so that China's sovereignty is recognized by Pakistan, but Pakistani sovereignty is not recognized by China.)

We DON'T NEED China to intervene directly in a war with india. Pakistan is the ONLY nation on earth that has more than enough warriors and fighting men to take on a nation that is 7× bigger than us. What we would need is world class high-tech weapons systems from China to defeat india. And the Chinese would gladly oblige as they have massive growing finanacial investments in, as well as strategic assets all over Pakistan.

China is all set to become the world's FIRST and ONLY Global hyper power. In a few years it will surpass the Americans in terms of scientific, technological, military and economic means. China already produces military equipment that is at least the same standard as Russian weapons. In 1965 and 1971, the Chinese could not produce en-masse military equipment comparable to Western and Russian/Soviet standards. So they could not really help Pakistan as they themselves were also poor. Now that has all changed to the benefit of Pakistan.

In all those years mentioned, China was not a superpower producing world class high-tech advanced weapons systems. They are now and they are also available to Pakistan.

The fact that Pakistan is the ONLY nation in the whole history of mankind that has fended off and repulsed an enemy that is more than 7x bigger than us and has abundant access to the world's most advanced weapons systems whilst we are denied this privilege, is testament to the fighters and warriors produced in Pakistan.

1971 , Kargil war, or even recent LOC flare up, not even a single supporting gesture from Chinese towards Pakistan.
