Pakistan, China ‘keen to get hands on leaked subs documents’

Massive problem for India. At least the documents available on the net hints they are real enough.

why i am thinkiling in this way bec some news outlets are saying that leak happened around one or two years ago.

Secrecy is key in international trade ..

In an un related example of secrecy, apple refused to open i phone of san banerdino (dont mind spellings) shooter on fbi request...

They said that their whole buissness is relied on security ... who will buy their phone if every one knows phone can he unlocked on US government request??

Similarly google refused repeated attempts of US government to access their search data base....saying the same.....

Similarly who (say in middle east) will buy a french system if french started leaking capabilities to enemy states willingly or unwillingly?? That would be the end of french weapons industry....

This seems to be an isolated incidence of sabotage but will hurt both indians and french badly

More leaks sink Scorpene; bad timing for France trying to tie down troublesome Rafale deal
By Manu Pubby, ET Bureau | Aug 25, 2016, 10.57 PM IST

NEW DELHI: More bad news for the Navy came on Thursday night with the Australian newspaper revealing more leaked content, including details of the submarine's underwater warfare systems.

The new documents put out by the Australian online newspaper come hours after the Indian Navy sought to downplay the issue, saying that there is no immediate reason for worry.

The new documents include specifics of the entire sonar system that is used by the sub to identify and target enemy vessels. These include details of the Flank Array, Sonar Intercept Receiver bands of operations and Active array transmission frequency.

The timing of the disclosure that thousands of pages of confidential information on India's Scorpene submarine have been leaked is particularly bad for France that is trying to finally tie down a troublesome deal for Rafale fighter jets and shipbuilder DCNS, which was hoping to get clearances for a foreign direct investme ..

The most important.. its secret capabilities and electronic signatures,,

A giant submerged cylindrical body made of naval steel and coated with more rubber then batman... and electronic signature:undecided:? Do you mean sonar leakage? Or comms? The sub itself isn't leaking any noticeable signals.

Sonar frequency and ranges, quieting methods, prop design and noise suppression techniques, never-exceed depth, communications methods, these are what should be worried about getting made public, not electromagnetic signatures for non-magnetic steel and electronics buried in tons of said steel, rubber and literal mountains of water.

Design types too. Sonar array design, non-centerline propulsion systems, automation, internal quieting, reactor design and containment and quieting, combat management systems. Worry about these.

You made my brain hurt.

i said if you know where to look. now the docs were sent to a country in asia before being sent to austrailia. how many times do you think they exchanged hands before they were sent to some journalist ? dark pool sites would have them by now.

now the paper that first broke the news said the docs contained the following

• The stealth capabilities of the six new Indian Scorpene submarines

• The frequencies at which the subs gather intelligence

• The levels of noise the subs make at various speeds

• Diving depths, range and endurance

• Magnetic, electromagnetic and infra-red data

• Specifications of the submarine’s torpedo launch system and the combat system

• Speed and conditions needed for using the periscope

• Propeller’s noise specifications

• Radiated noise levels when the submarine surfaces

Pak has this gambler's luck of getting unexpected gifts. Be it Tomahawk or stealth chopper or Indian saboteurs against CPEC or Mr. Modi's policy statements to undertake terrorist activities or something else..
I think Pakistan and Turkey both are getting their fair share of gamblers luck or divine help....The failed coup was well orchestrated plan but it failed.
Similarly, these leaks have revealed quite a lot of sensitive info and India is suddenly shocked and totally confused, Alhamdulillah, as what to do while the Kashmiris has started to fight back for their rights....and India's failed NSG bid... one after the other.

Thankfully France has clarified that nothing damaging was revealed:
And I agree with you :enjoy:

So please stop worrying about it :partay:

As for Ehl-i Iman, subhanAllah these are the signs for a phase shift occurring from Jelalet to Jemalet as Keffara for the collective Gunah of the Ummet through Fitne and Fesat is progressing toward an end...

It is a nice conclusion. Pakistan and Turkey have, Al-Hamdulillah, embarked upon the journey of friendship and brotherhood and I hope this relationship will set the tempo for all other brotherly countries to develop stronger bonds with grace of Almighty Allah and bury the hatchets which were never their own but handed over to them by their enemies through deception.

Our enemies are common..

Propelant mainly.. and frequency signals.. The US will give hundreds of millions or even some billions to get these from Russian subs, that is why they try to shadow them all the time..

What's to stop the French releasing secrets of PNs Agosta 90b subs to keep IN happy?
Turkish folks are re-hauling the systems in these subs. Good move from the Pak side.
Bottom-line: if you don't have your own s/w and related h/w settings in modern high-tech weapons, it's like employing a fox to babysit your chicken..
