There are Many other options Superior to F-16

For example ? Any other cheap source with subsidise rates ? France and rest of the EU won't give you their goddies for free or as cheap as F-16s. Adopting new platform means lot of $$ structure training maintenance. Does our economy support buying typhoon or rafales ? Beggers can not be choosers.

We are aware of Indian goods reaching Pakistan via Iran and Afghanistan. This Dubai thing is new. You guys are expanding terror business in Gulf too?

Brother we don't have any other option i watch many threads where senior members advocating Russian or Chinese twin engine jets but in reality even if we have budget to buy those jets still we can't reason is that Russia can't sell because of Indian pressure and China also producing copies of Russian Jets which they can't export. So we have two option JF-17 and F-16 till the J-31 ready for export.

PAF Plan Buy 2nd hand F-16 add new JF-17 and Wait for J-31 till 2024

As the JF 17 matures and grows and becomes fully capable we need a filler before the 5th gen option becomes available

I think PAF intention is to push JF17 capabilities as much as they can so it will end the need for J 10 or F16 eventually, they can then go for a heavy or 5th gen option to act as the spear tip

that means however in the meantime adding more numbers to a platform they are well acquainted with is sensible except that they have deal with the yanks

Get them upgraded via Turkey.

For that still you need the aproval of the OEM. The LM awarded the contract to the turkey for the MLU upgrade of the earlier F-16, and provides MLU upgrade Kit to the turkey, where those upgrade work was done.

We would still need a US nod for even RJAF F-16s. They would be a good addition as they can be upgraded to Block-52 standards but without CFTs i think.

That will depend on the application. If for the use in war on terror, than no, a JF-17 with WMD7 is more than enough for the use.
