Ancient Harappan-era skeletons found in Haryana

The Vedas can't have a date. Simply because it was a passed down in unwritten form. And it evolved over time, verses were added. The earliest ones are most probably older than 7000 BC.

You suggest that it is 9000 year old hymn ? What proof do you have for this assertion ?

The lines get blurry as you go back in time and mere conjectures based on what one interprets from historical documents. This discussion is pointless on who was first.

The important point is the wealth of Vedic knowledge. I do believe it does not belong to anyone, BUT everyone. However, current custodians are Indians, others might have held on to it in the past. It does not matter one bit.

The most important point is understanding that knowledge, because once you do, this discussion loses all merit. Why, because what is time, according to vedas? ;)

You can google it.

Bhagwat Gita do talk about Lord Rama and its even mentioned in many vedas.

I'm not able to find references of rama being mentioned in rig or yajur veda (haven't checked the others). Can you please help me?

The proto Indo-European tribes migrated from Eurasian homeland to different parts of Europe and Asia. The Dravidians created Indus Valley Civilisation and was later displaced due to Vedic Indo European invasions. The Vedic hijacked/adopted many Dravidian religious and cultural traditions with their own.The Vedic Aryan invaded 1500 BC while the Indus Valley Civilisation matured at 3000 BC.

Disagree because i think it was only during the period of King Alexander that those tribes were able to over run Persia and came to Invade India but were not able.

The ancient Persians named river Indus and people Indians. The Hindus cremate their dead so these people were probably not Hindus. The height of these just shows that malnutrition is still present in India after 5,000 years.
The name Indus comes from Sanskrit.

Would that be Bengali, Assamese, Naga, Manipuri, Orrisan or maybe even more 'beyond' Thai?

There are two large freshwater lakes - Manasarovar to the east and Rakshastal to the west. The Ganges and other rivers also arise here.

The Indus river originates near lake Manasarovar to the north of the Himalayas range on the Kailash Parbat .

Ganga, Brahmaputra , Krishna, Godavari, Cauvery, Tughabhadra, Narmada, Indus,Ravi Etc all are river of Indian people.

So does my surname? So?

You boys might not know this but I am pretty deft at geography as I did it upto A levels. So don't bother teaching me geography.

Yes, this is true. This knowledge is timeless. The concepts of space, time and atman don't come with date of manufacture or expiry. :)
