LUMS: Afghanistan Scholarship Program - Shameful - the could have gone to poor Bihari Pakistanis

 NO Syed Ali you are wrong, I have NO ethnic preferences here . I believe in National Identity and that is Pakistanis.

This frog avatar man has some ethnic complex not me. This is stupid thread because every educational institute has this right to offer scholarship if we have for African then whats wrong with Afghanistan :)

and above all when Russians were there the Pakistanis in large number did get MBBS degrees from Russia facilitated by Afghanistan.

Education exchange programmes should not be subjected to ethnicity.

address this issue your coward

Never Mind. He has this single aim to copy even old news

This is not even one month old -- you coward

doesn't have the balls to copy entire news but few selective paras or line , paste here and try to widen the gape between the two countries

You stupid idiot -- this is called adhering to copyright laws and fair use - but I suspect an ignoramous like you wouldn't know

Issue is not the scholarship but when your own people need support whats the point of offering it to the outsiders? Charity begins at home, it is as simple as that and should not be difficult to understand.

Important? its NOT even an Issue what to say about being important.
Pakistanis stranded in Bangladesh for over 40 years is not even an issue? Great! Why were we getting so upset with the GoP for not bringing the Pakistanis back from Yemen then? Oh I get it now; they were sons of the soils whereas Bihari's ancestors only voted for the Pakistan that sons of the soil today call home. Right, the stranded Pakistanis in Bangladesh is not even an issue!

O

OP please -- show me once I've called Afghans the equivalent of Daal Khors, Dark Skinned, Smelly -- once !!

And it took until now for you to condemn the racism against Pakistanis ??!

Continue living in your fantasy world.

 i find nothing wrong with eating daal or gosht if they are pissed off at something why you are so much offended to an extent to prove them right.

Show me one article on any Afghan news agency which condemns the hatred against Pakistanis -- show me one!

Have the courage to fess up to this racism and hatred in Afghan society!

So yes we you know think history is irrelevant.

And again avoiding the issue -- I try to adhere to copyright laws you ignoramus!

1. Why you even expect Afghan Media to condemn it? at least I dont and i give damn about even if they do as their hate filled comments do not affect my health rather health of entire

2. History is not irrelevant but when likes of you post something from the past as a FRESH/current happening well that too by selecting few lines and twist these for your own agenda by posting here well that is not only irrelevant rather a stupid lame try.

Come on some guts!!!
:what: geeeez woman you need guts too? trust me use those balls i lend you wisely you wont need any guts ;)

Oh please you coward -- I clearly laid out in my last post -- the news is less than one month old and I post excerpts as required by laws -- refute that -- what's the point you coward

That's the crux of the matter. Besides, Pakistan has done more than enough throughout the decades. Its time for others to contribute. Pakistan isn't some sort of dump ground where Afghan refugees can stay indefinitely. It's not good for them and it's not good for us.

Ideally, I would like to see the Americans and their coalition of the willing share some of the burden i.e. responsibility. They always scold Pakistan to do more etc. Yet, are nowhere to be found when push comes to shove.

1. :) your own people need food and help in Thar but we still send food and other items when another region is hit by earthquake or other calamity that is called international relations so you cant just halt everything by saying our people need it.

2. this is NOT charity to begin with

3. LUMS is expensive and not every Pakistani can afford it so what is wrong if Afghan govt fund own students for this?

4. the poster said why not give them to Bihari Pakistanis well tell me do you have any good estimate of number of Biharis in Pakistan? what is their basic education level? do they even qualify for higher classes ?

comparing the two is stupidest lame attempt laden with bias and loose temperament

It is utterly useless to continue with you. Your love for Afghans and disgust for Biharis (and possibly other ethnicities) is preventing you from seeing and discussing the issue at hand (the stranded Pakistanis in Bangladesh) unbiasedly and intelligently.

 so ONE MONTH OLD NEWS. So what were you doing all these 30 plus days ? eating DAAL? :P
As if you only post minutes to hours old posts.

Ahh the ignoramus -- Pakistani tax dollars are funding this -- did you miss it -- to the tune of several million dollars

3. LUMS is expensive and not every Pakistani can afford it so what is wrong if Afghan govt fund own students for this?

Ahh the ignoramus again -- my own cousin was admitted but couldn't afford it, luckily wealthier members of the family supported him -- but this could have gone to people like him not ungrateful Afghans.

4. the poster said why not give them to Bihari Pakistanis well tell me do you have any good estimate of number of Biharis in Pakistan? what is their basic education level? do they even qualify for higher classes ?

Ahhh the insufferable ignoramus again -- out of 1,000,000 Biharis finding a couple of gifted students would not be possible ??? -- I guess Darwin will be coming for you soon.

Syed Ali you are TT. if you feel you deserved that title then READ my post again it has NOTHING to do with disgust for Biharis or love for Afghans.

I raised clear legitimate points do address these points.

1. Tell me you even know about their numbers in Pakistan?

2. Do they have basic education in Pakistan?

3, Have they passed required grades to be inducted for higher level?

the answer is NO.

So first these Bihari Pakistanis need all the attention and basic amenities and if they can be inducted in LUMS then they do have all the rights.

Ahh the ignoramus again -- my own cousin was admitted but couldn't afford it, luckily wealthier members of the family supported him -- but this could have gone to people like him not ungrateful Afghans.

 oh so that is the bone of contention here

the answer is NO.
1. Give me the proof of this 'NO'.

2. The OP was NOT referring to the Bihari Pakistanis (BTW Karachi's literacy rate is very high where the Biharis live) but stranded Pakistanis in Bangladesh who are commonly called Bihari Pakistanis. The Biharis in Pakistan are just called 'Mohajirs'.

here we are talking about afgans as nationality not ethnicity...
such MoUs are not really abnormal...

Giving scholarship to bihari pakistani will be affirmative action(not sure if they are backward).. which is different issue.. I dont think lums will allow a pakistani donor to institute scholarship program based on ethnicity.. that will cause more division and chaos.

Again total avoidance of the issues -- what an ignoramus coward!!! -- mommy not too proud of you is she.

Are you kidding me you can find even in the US -- scholarships that are just for Students of Kashmiri origin -- or African American origin -- or Latin origin.

So he is talking about or in other words you are talking about Urdu Speaking Pakistanis living in Karachi?

if so then first clarify your point instead of mixing two Biharis.

Now coming to Urdu speaking Pakistanis well they have a number of good educational institutes in the country and they do NOT need QUOTA.

and i was talking about Bihari Pakistanis a large number of them are settled in few areas of Pakistan including my city Peshawar .

:)))))))))))))))) and last not the least so you are MQM supporter? that is why you were accusing me by using that lense without reading my comment instead of using your TT lense. too bad

you sure instituting scholarship for muhajirs in lums a good idea? Ask your punjabi/baloch/sindhi/pathan friends here... lets see how they react.
