‘Ghar wapsi’: Politics of conversion!

why do you think this conversion issue is blown out of proportion suddenly? It's a ploy to discredit Modi government in the western world. Already we had two article on one NYT and another one in Washington Post, now this one from Pakistan. We will have to brace ourselves for few more articles.
I'm not surprised that the issue has escalated and that international media is being brusque about it.
BJP should've been careful!!
The would saffron-terror that was almost forgotten for a decade would be used a zillion times in the media now.

They worked very hard to build the image. They are wasting their time now. They are the most popular anti Hindu party and should focus on that - their strength.
I knew it ...you lil devil!! :coffee:

most important thing in life is religion:alcoholic:

Yup saffron terror and internet hindus was a gift to India by Congress/secularists and their media p!mps.

International media has always criticized Modi, whether it NYtimes or its Guardian, there is nothing new. and frankly speaking ( :D) he doesnt care about it.

Now? As opposed to when before? Sikhism has always been largely confined to Punjab and Haryana of present day India. It also thrived in parts of Pakistna before partition, but if it could not thrive after independecne, and vanished from Pak, that's not our fault, is it?

Sikhism is alive and well in Pakistan. It was always in limited regions. No need to show us your foolishness.

Did you read the OP, which talked about Sikhism being confined to the Punjab region? That's been equally true for India, always. Berate your newspaper and columnists for foolishness, before accusing me.

BTW, please let me know when you have a Sikh PM or president. Ever. EVER.

Or a hindu for that matter. Or a Buddhist.

Kinda ridiculous, to be getting lessons in secularism from people who have constitutionally prohibited secularism.

really??
what does rss,vhp,bd want?
some new law/bill on conversion,,,,is that it?
I don't care what they want, but if they are not doing anything illegal its wrong to criticize them just to prove how secular India is.

Yes, Indian secularism which is something your country cannot hope to match.

Make no mistake, any Indian has a right to convert from any religion to any other, as many times as she wants. Our govt is secular, and not guided by the religion of peace that would chop off her head for apostacy or hang her for blasphemy. And I'd love to make a witty remark about the "flying airplanes" in your post and what certain religious people did with those, and where those people chose to retire and live among, but I'm not in the mood right now.

You really don't want to preach to us about secularism. Believe me, you cannot win that argument. You should try to visit another thread to take digs at India. This is not the place. Choose your internet battles wisely.

You have disappointed me man, had so much hopes on you :(. I'v heard even the missionaries are having a field day in the valley so much so that some mullah had to isue a fatwa against them.
Yes, Evangelical Christians are wreaking havoc. And I don't support it at all. By a conservative estimate there are atleast 25000 Christian converts in the Valley right now. The number is still low in comparison but will create rift when it grows further. We are soft people(with exceptions) so this has not caused much of an uproar yet.

PS - I am against conversion by bribing by anyone. Muslims getting converted to Christianity or any other faith on the false promise of better life is very very unfortunate.
