This doesn't make an iota of sense. If the visit is to Nepal then why in Gods name would india offer any official vehicle?

I think A 760Li black long body BmW is much more desirable than a "bombproof" hendustan ambassador with 1960s design and not even power steering

Pure case of ego at play. The host country (not India) offered car to the Pakistani guest but as soon as Pakistan officials came to know its supplied by India, the ego kicked in forcing them to reject it as it was Indian. Hilarious!!

Nobody wants to be seen being driven in junk. Probably is ego - actually I would have done the same

As cars for all dignitaries came from India, what was wrong with not using one? Car bugged perhaps? What the hell would he have spoken while in the car that could have been classified? The poor soul, himself, has no classified info, no one trusts him with such info in the first place!

Every car can be bugged then every country has sufficient manpower to check for bugs.

That would be styling from the 1950s, and it's spelt 'Hindustan'. You'd be surprised to know that the HM Ambassador is a lot more up-to-date with emission norms than the PakSuzuki Mehran

me personally i'm a fan of the eary 70s to mid 1990s Mercedes Benz cars...MORE SO than the new ones.

my post was in reference to NS opting for a 7 series over what would have been a "Bugged" and clankety old "ambassor"

by the way - the event is @ Nepal. Why does india need to worry about which car our PM/delegation arrives in? What is this

There was no Ambassador in the cars made avialable by Nepal to its guests. Also India was brought into light probably to sooth hurt ego by by Express tribune which was unnecessary TBH because the cars were offered by Nepal to the visiting dignitory and how they got the cars should have been of no concern to anyone.

India is just supplying the cars. I am sure Nepal security agencies will thoroughly inspect them and then only hand it over to the guests. India is unnecessary dragged into this ego trip by the Pakistani newspaper otherwise India doesn't care whether NS travels in 7 series or bailgaadi..
