Norwegian mountaineer walks over dying Pakistani guide in pursuit of K2 summit record, video sparks outrage

50 western climbers climbed over him while he was still alive and begging for assistance!!!

If the situation had been reversed all 50 climbers would have been charged with murder.. You wouldn't do that to a dog.you would at least sit with the dog till he died.

All this just to break a record!!!

I dont thing any other country in South Asia would have let the climbers walk free without any charges

Digusting nasty people, all for a pathetic record. Not just that, they are now blaming him for not being properly equipped.

RIP.

It's clear the westerners see asian as less than humans.

You guys dont have the complete story.

This guy, apparently, wasn't an individual experienced in mountaineering. The guy didn't even have gloves, had an issue with or never had an oxygen tank...

Only joined to earn money for his mother's medicine.

@Dalit @Azadkashmir

Govt should enquire how this happened.

Seems like the Tourism board has explaining to do on what type of "training" they hand out to those who want to be sherpas. Guess Pak Aviation isn't the only institution handing out fake licenses.

It was the worst place for him to go down. The area he's in is considered "death alley" you don't want to stop there for any reason.

Seems you all need to learn more about your own mountains.

Lots of comments on here yet your own News media can't even report on it.

Don't try and defend this...really just dont...this is not defendable.

If he didn't have gloves why did they take him with them ? Surely these people are experienced mountaineers themselves and should know better. Wouldn't your fingers break off with frost bite?

"They" hired a local company, Lela something, to organize the summit.

Perhaps "they" will make sure their friends would not use the same company.

Read the news author asking professionals what's going on rather than talking about ethics or morality sitting in your chair.

Not the first time a white person has done so....

Oh wait, history is filled with example much more abhorrent than that.
It happens with all third world countries , lack of enforcement of labour laws . This happens with poor workers in every industry of our third world .

This has all been debunked. There is an actual video recording that shows how the Pakistani sherpa was being mistreated by the Western climbers. Also, there is a climber who took part during the expedition and has debunked many claims.

Yes. Pakistanis aren't even interested and discussing this matter. That doesn't surprise me for a nation that didn't come out and protest Imran Khan's illegal detention. This issue is actually being discussed by foreign individuals. It was brought to attention by a climber who took part during expedition. Shame on Pakistanis for this.

In Pakistan the lives of people don't matter. We saw this when the Americans used to strike with their drones.

Pakistanis are themselves to blame they see a foreigner they run towards them to serve them like sepoys that too without pay, actually they pay for their food and drink. Too bad Pakistanis cant do that to their overseas paks instead rob them or treat them like scourge.
These same Pakistanis when they flee to countries of those they love to serve as sepoys slaves, when they get to those peoples border they are treated like stray dogs that need shooting by the very same ppl. Sad situation of Pakistanis. The Germans are proud, the french are also prideful ppl and would not sell out or take bribe unlike pak Pakistanis. Actually they both are very snobby nations.
The poor Pakistani is drawn to the lure and charm of foreign currency and foreigners laden with that treasure. Can't really blame those without the means to serve those with means.

Illegal Detention :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

lol women generally have no empathy towards men who are below them in the socal strata, one of the reason islam forbade woman to become leaders of nations. Its evolutionary. They are not protectors and providers of the tribe, they are concerned with family only. And if you doubt me, tell me how many woman die for their tribe, nation compared to men. The vikings would have willing brides after they killed off the men. Not a race thing but a gender ting.

Looks like you are using Olympics as a yardstick. They don't have hunting, fishing, motorsports (like car racing or bike racing). Nor do they have 'indoor' sports like chess, poker or billiards. Does it make them all non-sports? Sport is any exertion of body or mind to give you enjoyment.

By that logic sex is a sport too 😂

This mountain is nothing but bad news. They should really standardize the profession of it and provide some much needed protection from exploitation.

Part of the excitement is the danger. If you 'standardize' it and make a 'profession' of it, it no longer becomes an adventure. It will be a business, like travel or cruise industry. Somebody can build a helipad or ropeway to the top and then even I and you can go, if the price is not too steep.
