That secularism is a western concept, it does not apply to Sanatana Dharma, we were always neutral and we welcomed persecuted minorities and let them grow.
Why should our religion be viewed through the prism of Abrahamic religions?

These channels should be banned, why are they still given permission to operate baffles me.
Even after case against rajdeep for instigating crowds in NY, the channel continues to persist with BJP and Hindu bashing,let them do it, good for us.

from what i know from my only visit to a church many years back, the sunday sermon begins at 9:00 am, yes??

i just wanted to know about the verses that holds importance in islam or that defines islam because there are actions which might be against islam but muslims keep doing it because they don't give importance to those verses that speak against those actions.

true... and the five things i wrote in post 188 are really what makes islam a socialist religion... those are what made people from guru nanak to the mongols to the first russian czar ( vladimir ) to napoleon become interested in islam... the verses define those things make islam a simple way to rights, progress and justice, and not to complicate anyone's life or complicate society...

islam is really a continuation of the teachings of jesus ( hazrat isa ), and the past of modern socialist movements... let us wait for jf-thunder or others to bring the exact verse numbers and text, properly interpreted.

swayamwar i know of only from mahabharat... i don't know of any historical time when this happened... the vedas and "laws of manu" essentially says that a lady is first in custody of her father or brother, and after marriage ( single ) she goes into custody of her husband... i had a long argument with indrani about this, months ago... so, swayamwar is not hinduism but practices within hindu royalty.
