I don't think that it is a temporary phenomena. The impact of social media is only going to increase in coming times.

I am referring to this incident and the durability (or not) of its effect, not of the power of social media.

Exactly what ideas and trends are you alluding to? Ending the VIP culture has nothing but my support but the Azadi March too has been trending on Twitter, and that I vehemently oppose.
 
People will trend it as long as it is spicy and entertaining. That video was too entertaining.
This video was just a beginning webby ,soon we will be observing more people following this trend.Just yesterday @Jazzbot uploaded a thread in which a woman was throwing insult at pm Shehbaaz Sharif (while he was smiling painfully:D)
I like @Oscar's question. I consider this resistance as positive change with intention to recall Sharif brothers that we are alive nation not zombies damn it!
