Now on the other hand it is good as, if combined population of South Asia (1.6 billion) starts eating meat it will create huge change in CO2 emission and a lot water and grain will be wasted to produce the meat.
e.g. :- 3091000 liters of water for producing 200 kilos of boneless beef.
coffee beef sheep pork goat chicken (Per kilo)
18900 15400 10400 6000 5500 4300
What you guys have to say ? Is it good to be a nation with low meat intake? Or you believe that higher meat intake shows better condition of a nation.
In the early 21st century, the biggest meat-eating countries were Luxembourg, the United States, Australia, New Zealand and Spain. The average annual meat consumption for Luxembourg residents was more than 300 pounds (136.5 kg) per person. By comparison, the per-person consumption in the United States was 276.4 pounds (125.4 kg) per year. India boasted one of the lowest annual rates, at 7 pounds (3.2 kg) per person, even though India has become one of the world's leading exporters of beef.
