Karnataka corner!

@Indischer Do you know anything about first Chinese Emperor Qin Shi Huang. He is being credited by Chinese as creating first united China in 221BC. But the guy is also known for killing hundreds of intellectuals in ancient China and got all of his concubines buried alive with him after his death to serve him in after life.

Nope! My knowledge of ancient Chinese history is rudimentary at best. Now that you've piqued an interest in this guy, I'll try to read more about him.:-)

I read about another Chinese traitor named Wu Sangui who opened the gates of Great Wall of China for Manchus to invade China in 17th century and end the Ming Dynasty, the last Han dynasty. Later on he tried to breakaway Southern China from Qing Dynasty. This guy Fattyacids tried hard to deny that he was a traitor, even I gave him certain Chinese sources but still he was staunchly denying he was a traitor claiming how Manchus had always been Chinese. :omghaha::omghaha::omghaha:

We had a massive fight in Kerala corner with my christian brothers duking it out.

There is no 'contemporary proof' (that is some record written in AD 52-72-but how many exist in Kerala? ) for his arrival as historians would ask for.But there is many other legends, stories and written records - like Marggamkali pattu. It is a strong possibility given Kerala's relations with West Asia & there is no other hypothesis to explain origin of Syrian Christian in Kerala'.

'Christian' Thiruvellur story is a myth.Tamil Christians are mostly 16 th century converts who aren't related to st.thomas, and they want to market 'tomb of st.thomas at mylapur'.The christian communities founded by st.thomas was in Kerala.

I've joined another new forum and after exams, i'll try and spend time over there, as there is no moderation on this forum. Today again had maa-bhanki with **** member. The good thing only sane senior moderator was posting on the thread. Hence, things didn't go too far. :)

God help us. Why is Parul leaving though? I thought she was even bringing in her Viru.

Veeru will come, once I leave. :secret:
