What's new

IRAN will display its most advanced drone later this week

Why don't you come Turkey section to share your impressions regarding Turkish projects ? I am here to tell about my considerations, criticizm. You can see that I have serious problems with liers and false propaganda throwers, Supposing own nation like blind or idiot..etc. I advise you to do same in Turkey section as well. Share with forumers If you see some defficiencies, Talk about performance of products, positive/negative sides...etc Nothing wrong with it...

It will only cause a trollfest and hate on both sides, I have watched this forum,WAFF and etc for years(i am mostly an observer and only around 2 weeks ago began posting while i have been member of defence.pk for 2 years but have observed it even sometimes before it), I know about most of turkish military projects i could simply come and say that FNSS Pars is designed by GPV, Panter is a FH-2000(about 2 dozen build), Anka had israeli computers ,Milgem weapons systems except that aselan 12.7 is foreign her radar is made in holland and .... but i know that turkish industry is different from us, we have to build(or reverse enginner) everything but you can simply buy it or its tecnology.

Turkey is going on its own path(which is good for turkey) and in one decade or so turkey will become independent in most sectors except Aerospace, but Iran can't buy $hit so we have to build everything, in less that a year you will see Bavar-373,sepehr OTH,kowsar 88,saba helicopter and trust me you will also see Qaher-313 fly, so we are also taking our own path.

We are neighbors and we have to leave side by side for a long time and for now we don't have a serious problem with turkey and Iranian son't have a bad image of turkey in their mind(like what they have of Arabs) so this will only cause antagonism

Also S-129 even with 20k feet ceiling(which is a guess) can be considered a MALE UAV(10,000-30,000 ft and 24-48hours endurance)

24-May ... :coffee:

New Shahed 129?

If you avoid certain Turkish members and ask your question nicely, i'm sure you'll get your questions answered. And don't refrain from asking questions just because it may start a trollfest, it is not your problem but the mods.

Btw, i'd like to know what the knowledgeable Turkish members will say about your claims too.

name ? before official announcement !?

forget about Hamase ...

if you want to see Iran's real capabilities , wait for 24-May ...

After jokes like Hamase and Qaher, people will always be sceptical towards Iran's everyweek-announcements.

I'm really curious about it, though. Let's wait and see.

Yeah. The Hamase mockup ceremony was a joke but when they released the footage of the real plane the next day, it wasn't a joke any more. Unless you have some sort of Iran-hating problem.

About Turkish projects you summarized, The development schedule, techical details and collaborations (If exist) are pure clear for everybody who wants to check. Nothing is scret but Something should be enlightened. Almost EVERY Turkish institutes started own ways with foreign collaborations/technology transfers/licence agreements/cooperations but It was tens of years ago not today. At present, Turkish institutes are exporting own designed products to those countries/competing them at international tenders/beating them so hard regarding technological issues.

Let me give some examples.

Today's Aselsan which is manufacturing word most strategic various type of radios including software defined radio systems, exporting all around the World. There are so strategic radio systems Aselsan developed that The amount of agreements reach hundreds of million dollars with only one signiture. At the beggining, Did you know Aselsan was manufacturing Holland radios. Today, Holland is nowhere against Aselsan's successes...

Turkey's armoured vehicle giant, Otokar which is developer institute of Altay MBT, Tulpar Heavy IFV, Arma family wheeled armoured vehicles, Cobra series light armoured vehicles, Ural, Kaya series Medium MRAP, Kale MRAP and various type of turrets...etc. Otokar's manufactured armoured vehicles are exported around 20 countries. Do you know Tens years ago, Otokar met first armoured vehicle technologies and manufacturing technics thanks to Singapore ? At current situation, Even If you collect ALL SINGAPOREAN land vehicle sector, They can't compete with Otokar's technological abilities...

What about MIKES as a sub institute of Aselsan, which is established to manufacture Turkey's Electronic warfare systems such as missile warning receiver, lazer warning receivers, radar warning receivers, Chaff, Flare munitions, central computers, user interfaces, softwares...etc Tens years ago, It was European EADS and Israeli IAI institutes were providing technology for manufacturing. At latest years, Turkey spend hundreds of dollars to develop indigenous equivalents thanks to technologies received from those countries and At present, Turkish industry reached impressive knowledge regarding EW systems and a great variety of sensor groups ready for export markets. With MWR system to be revealed in following years, The such a strategic family would have been completed.

What about FNSS as developer institute of Amphibious Assault Bridge, Amphibious work machine, Pars family of wheeled vehicles, Kaplan Weapon carriage, Korkut 30 tonnes Spaag chassis ? As you said, FNSS acquired GPV licence to manufacture wheeled PARS vehicles in Turkey in 2000. With comprehensive R&D activities over years from steering subsystems to gears, seats, armours and finally designs, FNSS finally developed PARS family which intellectual and property rights belong to sole Turkey. At present, FNSS shares PARS technology with Malaysia and preparing to transfer production brend for UAE If selected. New generation Pars designs are imprssive. Check Malayisn AV-8 and New 6x6 which is designed for Turkey's tender. At this situation, GPV is nowhere When It is compered with FNSS regarding technology, industrial activities and export success...

I can list more institutes like that. It is the sole way of development. If you have serious ambitious and funds to be paid for R&D, You can catch/overtake the institutes you get help in past as Turkish institutes are doing.

Anka had israeli computers ,Milgem weapons systems except that aselan 12.7 is foreign her radar is made in holland and .... but i know that turkish industry is different from us, we have to build(or reverse enginner) everything but you can simply buy it or its tecnology.

In additions, technology is not a type of word at fanboy's mouths like "We did it, We make it, We are best, wait next week bla bla" It requires times from design/development/trials/qualification, funds, ability, qualified engineers, experiences...etc so Along with complete product systems such as Anka, Altay, Milgem, U-214TN, TF-2000 AAQ, There are lots of sub-programs proceeding in paralell with them (Sometimes, You have never heart them). Such complex development schedule requires big times and funds as well as management but At the end, Turkey would have been reached impressive domestic toys whose national contribution rates are satisfactory When They are opened for World markets. In accordance with this schedule, It is planned to reach 25 billion $ export success until 2023. With this schedule/plan, It is always required stopgap foreign solutions until domestic equivalent is revealed but In following productions, Step by step, Domestic equivalents start replace foreign systems so Instead of signing a huge contacts for foreign systems for integration, Undersecretariat orders 1 foreign subsystem (required) for 1 prototype and choose to wait domestic efforts.

Let's chek some examples.

ANKA subprograms:
-New Turboprop engine (165-170hp If remember correct)
-SAR radar
-It is planned new FLIR of Aselsan called AselFlir-235 will catch the serial production schedule of ANKA.
-Domestic Flight computer (P1-2-3 flied with Israeli computers but P4 and 5 carries domestic flight computers)

Altay Subprograms:
-1500hp domestic engine
-Pynomatic suspension
-Boron based new generation armour plates
-Aselsan's Active protection system called AKKOR.
-SARP stablized turret
- Tank information system
-Lazer warning Receiver for tanks

Milgem and further variants Subprograms:
-Atmaca anti-ship Missile
-Akya Torpedo (IDEF 2013 news: Development of AKYA torpedoes are almost completed)
-Aselsan Hizir torpedo defence system
-Aselsan/Tubitak various type of torpedo decoys
-Aselsan Hazar 3D radar (Most strategic part of Holland radars integrated on Milgems are also domestic. T/R modules)
-VL SAM systems for further variants of Milgem
-CAFRAD APAR radar (One of the most strategic radar program which enables ships to detect ballistic missiles/aircrafts from hundreds of km's away)
