What's new

Tejas aircraft deficient in at least 100 technical parameters

Are they engaged in combat? Or is the LCA still in the testing and DEVLOPMENT phase?

are they testing and develping the plane for combat ready?

also if the press is reporting 100 defects at this stage when you have only about 3/4 of the year to present yourself to antony,
it means something extremely desperate for HAL or the responsible org to make amends

Having 100 erroneous parameters are quite alarming and fatal if they are engaged in combats! Unless the makers have assurance to the fleet and the airforce that the errors are outrageously minute, but then why the reporting by the indian press if they are so!

The Indian press, as your diplomats in New Delhi will tell you, are hyperactive. They are powerful in their own right and can rarely be diverted, either by bribery or by coercion. They like reporting each and every negative development or even less than positive developments, in shrill and high tones, and have mercilessly highlighted any and every shortcoming of the country. Almost every news item or issue on which a Pakistani - or a Bangladeshi or a Chinese - makes a rude comment has originated in the Indian press.

So bad publicity in the Indian press is not an index of performance.

As far as the factors of performance are concerned, most of them are specifically linked to a weak engine, due to the failure of the establishment working on that, the lack of an active array radar, due to a similar reason, and one or two other much smaller bits and pieces. The engine to fly this plane after productionising is done has been identified and is being integrated; the radar is on order. That leaves some relatively minor issues. The point is that the pilot and the Air Force high command certainly do not want to take anything for granted, and quite rightly so. They are holding out to ensure that the work was well done.

I hope this clarifies.

Gents, lets keep jf-17 out of this thread and concentrate on the speculative 100 technical parameters of lca

You owe me no clarification JS.
I am just stating my own observation out of an article in the OP and my general opinion of Tejas over the period of development
The manufacturer needs to clarify to the indian public about the truthfulness of the press report though!

THINK THE INDIANS SHOUKLD HAVE PICKED A PARTNER FOR LCA from the beginning

be DASSULT OR SUKHOI even GENERAL DYMAMICS.

I gurantee by now THE LCA will have been in service AND POSSIBLY no need for HUGE MMRCA ORDER.

India was not ready FOR THIS YET

1. Till yesterday pakistanis were saying that as Tejas is not operational and inducted so we will talk about it or compare it with jf 17 only when the Tejas is inducted and fully operational. :undecided:

But now they are jumping up and down with joy and commenting weirdly.

Hippocrates???????????

2. How can one talk about something which is not operational or how can one talk about a under production and unfinished products???? :cheesy: :undecided:

3. Even if one goes by this news it (which have unnamed source) this report says that by 2013 Tejas will get rid of so called 100 deficiencies.

This means by end of this year Tejas will not have any efficiencies as p[er the same super source who have claimed that presently it have. :smokin:

Just wait for 8 months every thing will be fine as per the thread starter's news.

LOL

it says by the end of 2013 engine problems will be taken care. It doesnt say same abt 100 complex technical problems.

Oh dear.

Brilliant strategy. How come we missed this?

To say it in Pakinternetese, LOL.

Really? You think having LCA ready would have stopped MMRCA? The key point here is the letter "L" and "M". Having or not having a Light Combat Aircraft would in no way affect the acquisition of Medium Combat Aircraft.

You should read the link i provided in post~64 to understand how much International input has gone into this project.

INTERNATIONAL INPUT EXISTS IN MOST MAJOR FIGHTER PROJECTS

India did not /does not have the technology to INDENGIOUS BUILD EVERY ASPECT 100% of the fighter
India/hal/drdo IS not Dassult of France or sukhoiRussia or General DynAMICS/ Macondald Douglas

INDIA is a developing country AND NEEDED assistance

Just LIKE Swedens GRIPEN uses USA engines and euro/usa weapons
just like chinease JF17/J10 uses RUSSIAN engines
Just like EUROPEANS had 4 nations build TYPHOON.

but india LEARNT alot more than simply assembling SPARE PARTS imported from OVERSEAS to call it a HOME GROWN fighter windjammer

tejas may not be WHAT IAF ideally enviaged BUT its a great effort for a developing nation

A LOT WAS LEARNT A GREAT INFRASTUCTURE BUILT UP AT HAL/DRDO for the future indengious efforts of india.

these comparison is not made by me its made by hongkong based defence media

dude i din't say that's your comparison. i just quoted about comparison in that pic only which most of the data's are wrong especially about tejas its almost 90% wrong.
