No, I am thinking JF17 is armed with Brazilian WVRs instead of chinese ones.

Whether PLAAF integrates it or PAF does becomes irrelevant. what matters is that the plane has the necessary hardware and software to fire the missile. Zuhai had PAF planes fromITS ACTIVE INVENTORY. If you saw it there it is integrated.PAF will continue to test and integrate other missiles purely to increase the sellability of the plane. There maybe other reasons which are hndisclosdd and we are not privy to . So lets move on.

It is not about the capability to fire the missile. The question is whether PAF has ordered it in substantial quantities or not. Only then it can be used in wartime. That is why I stressed on a pakistani source rather than a chinese. Chinese will always like to point out that Pl5EII has been tested with JF17 so that they can sell it to PAF. Why would an Air force go with 2 WVRs at the same time, we already know that MAA-1A was ordered for JF17. Thats why I had my doubts about Pl5EII.

If MKI went on static display in US or france, will they be displayed with AMRAAM or R77? I am not saying that PL5EII hasn't been integrated with JF17, I am simply asking for a source. More so, because I don't understand the rationale behind going for Pl5EII and MAA-1A at the same time. Why not buy a single WVR missile?

There is always good to have redundancy..
the MAA-1s arrived for a different system.. but allowed PAF the opportunity to get their interest conveyed onto the MAA-1B program. As of right now, the PAF has dropped the line on three different future WVR missiles...All meeting its requirements.. so when it does come the time to select one the PAF will make the decision based on other parameters such as reliability of supply, sophistication etc.

So if the A-Darter perform better than the MAA-1B.. then the PAF takes that.. or vice versa..
At the back there is the Chinese 5th gen WVR in testing as a backup.

Not necessarily, because they integrated techs and weapons also for other potential export customers in mind, not only for PAF. So they will integrate stuff, that PAF might not be interested in and therefor won't buy, so it's valid to ask if PAF really have bought that missiles or not.
It's just like PAFs F16s carry different weapons than the US forces or many other F16 operators and just because a certain missile was integrated, doesn't mean PAF would have it.

Pakistan: JF-17 suspended (google translated)

China withdrew from the project fighter Sino-Pakistan. Islamabad is left alone to finance development.

Is this the end of the JF-17? There is uncertainty about the program since China has decided to retire in the utmost discretion, about a year ago. Officially, the Light Combat Aircraft no longer meets the needs of its air force. Signed in 1999, the partnership focused on the development and manufacture of a multirole aircraft in partnership with the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and several Chinese companies, including Chengdu Aerospace Corporation. PAF wanted to develop an aircraft to replace its fleet of F-7P and Mirage III / V 2015. In June 2009, she started the serial production of JF-17 aircraft Kamra complex, 80 km from Islamabad (see A & C No. 2196). Three squadrons, about 50 aircraft are in service today. Problem: the development of the JF-17 is not completed and the aircraft is not fully operational. Several arms originally envisioned have not been validated. The engine, a Klimov RD-93 Soviet-designed technology suffers from about 50 years old: smoke in the air, large thermal signature, lack of thrust ... With the withdrawal of China, PAF is thus found only to complete the development of its aircraft. Which could cost him dearly. It will buy the parts from Chinese subcontractors, as it realizes that the final assembly of the aircraft on its base Kamra. A particularly thorny issue that the Pakistani state is in a difficult financial situation.

Its like swallowing a cup of salt.

Considering that the Program is financed by China.. directly or indirectly..and at no point was it ever said that it was to go to PLAAF or not .. the credibility(along with the quality) of the article is pretty much nothing then which could have been saved by prose but the amateurish way it is written seems to put the nail in that coffin.

The JF-17 is financed by the PAF 50% though loans and by China..nothing has changed since.
Utmost discretion leaves a big question mark.
Especially since less than a year ago the Chinese were prepared to go one step further and completely finance the program in return for access to further mineral resources and development contracts.

Either the headline got jumbled up in the translation, or the article is written by a amateur.

There is no truth whatsoever that the Chinese have left us, on the contrary, they are very much involved in this project with Blk-II and will be in the Blk-III in the future.

Well played by french

JFT and Rafale are shortlisted in the serbian tender.

http://internasional.kompas.com/read/2011/12/17/10001964/Rafale.dan.JF-17.Akan.Bertarung.di.Serbia

So JFT and Rafale are shortlisted And the winner is to be announced in 2014.and if someone follow the serbian forum.a news from 2012 july stated that JFT has much more chances

Rafale is no doubt a better fighter....but JFT offer many capabilities within a limited budget

This is a strategic partnership. The Chinese are very smart and they don't make mistakes like this. To keep influence on Pakistan, they may pay 100% of the cost and finance it through the soft loans to Pakistan if need be. The JFT will make the back bone of the PAF's fighter regiment and will take the PAF away (75%) from the foreign influence, giving it a much needed boost and a local defense industry. Canceling this project would mean China would risk its relationship with the ONLY key ally it has for decades. This is almost like the US canceling Israel's F-16 SUFA order or refusing to provide spareparts for its F-16 fleet. You might as well openly say goodbye to your partner in such scenario. So, this ain't happening

I have to admit the Pakistani Airforce , decision makers have done well with diversification of Aircrafts and platforms and Missiles options.

The opposing enemy planes would have a hard time to determine what missile they will face and we have ample supply of missiles
