Nazi Germany’s Fascination With Ancient India: The Case Of Heinrich Himmler

Columbus was looking for South Asia.

get your facts correct dude, columbus was looking for a spice trade route to india(today's modern india, pakistan, nepal, bhutan, afghanistan, little central asia, myanmar, bangladesh and little thailand) and when he hit american shores, after watching the native americans, he thought they were indians and called them "red indians" due to their red skin and the island where his troupe came first was "West Indies"....named after india although he first called it india and later they realised that they were wrong , so they called it "west indies"---portugese....and during those days our land was known as east india...remember the east-india company???

Columbus was looking for South Asia.

Herodotus - BC 440 - "Eastward of India lies a tract which is entirely sand. Indeed, of all the inhabitants of Asia, concerning whom anything is known, the Indians dwell nearest to the east, and the rising of the Sun."

Megasthenes - 300 BC - "India then being four-sided in plan, the side which looks to the Orient and that to the South, the Great Sea compasseth; that towards the Arctic is divided by the mountain chain of Hēmōdus from Scythia, inhabited by that tribe of Scythians who are called Sakai; and on the fourth side, turned towards the West, the Indus marks the boundary, the biggest or nearly so of all rivers after the Nile."

He doesn't know anything about history.

What truth are you talking about?? Your Madarsa truth or your fake history truth??

We have discussed enough about this in past and all the time you guys have run for cover.

I know it is very humiliating to accept the fact that you guy don't have any history to cherish. your country is just 65 yrs old. Before 65 years, your Pakistan was part of India.

Have you ever heard about "All India Muslim League".
:lol:We were part of British India not India.India has only existed for 65 years kid infact Pakistan had independence before India. You are the one who is humilated stealing history from your neighbours.

Hindu Vedas and the culture is used as a tool to assert superiority by a unrelated people. I've been seeing Germans,Turks,Persians who all are eager to claim as "aryan race" but, many are not even aware of Hinduism or Sindhu Civilization. :\

Actually, the term "Aryan" is Persian. Iran literally means "Land of the Aryans". Sub-continental India had cultural and religious links with Iran for tens and thousands of years. We can learn a lot from them.

And no, it doesn't have anything to do with having light skin, blue eyes and blonde hair. There was a whole lot of inferiority complex going on in Nazi-era Germany.

Although, I salute them for their technology. Brah...

India is a short word used to refer to south asia by westerners, India your country has never existed before 1947.

^^^^^^the whole south asia was known as INDIA and after independence we can say that INDIA lost its territories just like pakistan lost its territories in 1971 to form bangladesh(then according to you, pak is only 41 years old [1971-present]).....idiot:hitwall:

These are the extracts from Vishnu Purana written in BC.

ततश्च भारतं वर्षमेतल्लोकेषुगीयते
भरताय यत: पित्रा दत्तं प्रतिष्ठिता वनम (विष्णु पुराण, २,१,३२)

This country is known as Bharatavarsha since the times the father entrusted the kingdom to the son Bharata and he himself went to the forest for ascetic practices
—Vishnu Purana (2,1,32)

uttaraṃ yatsamudrasya himādreścaiva dakṣiṇam
varṣaṃ tadbhārataṃ nāma bhāratī yatra santatiḥ

उत्तरं यत्समुद्रस्य हिमाद्रेश्चैव दक्षिणम् ।
वर्षं तद् भारतं नाम भारती यत्र संततिः ।।

"The country (varṣam) that lies north of the ocean and south of the snowy mountains is called Bhāratam; there dwell the descendants of Bharata."
- Vishnu Purana (2.3.1)

This again proves you wrong....:sniper:

Well, Nehru wrote "The discovery of India" in 1944. What a moron he was.:coffee:

India is not Bharatavarsha there are rights of succession to calm to be a succeer of a past nation has India completed it those rights of succession?

lol, the source is indian.

indians are so happy that hitler a (white supremecaist) was facinated with indians. does anybody get why this is funny?

Hint: sharu khan stars in a commerical :mod:

anyways this post about indian history is very questionable as with anything about indian history, after all indians tend to make up their history to be somebody that they are not.

Yes Indians relate them selves with Arab civilization and praise afgan kings and turkic warlords.
Don't you think your comment is related to a specific group of people situated north west of India.
The word "Arya" means a noble it has no relation with the race. In vedas there was a prayer which says "Lord convert all non Aryans to Aryans".

Vedas and Puranas are related to Indian subcontinent. Aryan invasion theory is created by West particularly British out of Envy of Rich Indian culture.
