Featured Pakistan operationalises Bayraktar TB-2 MALE UCAV for PAF

If India became a 20 Trillion economy......it would have far more to lose in any conflict with Pakistan so keep tensions to a minimum and this discussion becomes moot. Similar reason why S Korea doesn't provoke N. Korea.....it has too much to lose.

Similarly it will have lot more to throw on us in that same war at which it will lose much. Ever thought of it this way ?

hmmm...

Seeing that Pakistan is apparently buying many different types of UAVs -- CH-4B, Shahpar-II, PAC MALE UAV, Wing Loong 2 and now potentially even TB2 and Anka (via the joint-production deal with NESCOM) -- is the military trying to build a huge drone fleet as rapidly as possible? It sounds like they have a number in mind, and want to reach that figure in the next 1-2 years. @JamD @kursed @SQ8 @HRK

Yes, this makes the most sense and I speculated the same on the UAV thread:
My attempt at explaining what seems to be happening:
1. I think we shouldn't view UAVs as manned jets in terms of logistic trains. That is, having 10 different fighter types is super expensive but having 10 different UAV types probably isn't very expensive - especially for these smaller S1/S2/Burraq/TB2 types. There is some value in having diverse assets.
2. Pakistan's armed forces are getting their hands on every decent UAV they can to induct them in large numbers. The capability is being built up FAST.
3. Pakistan's armed forces are getting their hands on every decent UAV so that they can learn to use them well by absorbing them into their doctrine.
4. Operating a wide variety of UAVs will make Pakistani armed forces capable of specifying very very good requirements for local/joint/foreign programs (like how our experience with the F16 fed into the JF-17).
5. This is about point 3 but I think most of these foreign UAV buys are for planned use against India and not anti-terror ops as everyone wants them to be.
Obviously, this is geared towards India. Almost looks like a Swift UCAV Retort Contingency plan if you ask me. Hordes of UCAVs to overwhelm Indian forces.

@farooqbhai007 since you follow these inductions very closely do you want to take a stab at guessing how many missiles the combined forces could deliver for "Swift UCAV Retort"?

So now Pakistan and India will both have Turkish drones?

So many armed drones

Wing Long 2
CH4
Burraq
Shahpar

and now TB 2 yet we aren't using them against BLA BRA TTP and Tablians which are demolishing the Pak Afghan Fence on the border
When BLA BRA TTP etc start using armored vehicles, then PAF will use TB-2 against them, after all its a tank-killer drone. What good is it against hideouts, convoys, foot patrols of BLA BRA TTP. So let a terrorist drive around in a tank and then these drones will be sent to take that tank out. Till then sit tight and watch FC get ambushed.

You really think Pakistan needs armed drones or more of them.

Pakistan needs smaller drones like mini/micro drones to be handed over to LEAs. These drones should be equipped with different kinds of sensors to detect movement, scan/identify faces, scan clothes and equipment, scan/identify vehicles, detect IED's, detect patterns of face expressions, eye movement etc of suspects approaching check posts and detect changing patterns on ground to help identify movement in hilly and dry mountains.

1-2 of such drones should be deployed by troops of every check post. Instead of spending millions of $$$ to take out Indian T-90s through larger drones, money should be spent on acquiring drones with sensors rather than missiles in future.

There is nothing wrong with riches in drones and probably one of the best problems to find yourself in.. Wing Long, C4, Burraq, TB2, Shahpar, Anka, Uqab, MIUS etc etc

Well Pakistan has an incredibly powerful drone fleet made up of the Wing Long 2 and now the TB2 excellent news.
However with that being said our BLA, BLF and TTP enemies are hardly quaking in their slippers as none of these drones are being seen over their heads ready to take them out in a seconds's notice.
BLA BRA TTP Vis-a-vis T-90s. You pick what's the need of the time.
There are tanks, missile equipped 4x4 and APCs, gunships, UCAVs, tactical warheads and mines to take out T-90s, but when its comes to BLA BRA TTP, then we have FC, Levies, Police and khasasdars.

What are the two LIDs up to is beyond anyone's comprehension, probably providing escorts to different cadres including crucial civilian transport. The LCBs are holding the fort, waiting for something to happen, same for SSG units. NG will be used for defense of a certain terrain during ground attack and for AD purposes only, like these troops cannot be trained anymore, they have reached the maximum limits of their training standards.

UCAVs allows the military to search and engage terrorists without them realising.

A bomb is a bomb. It will kill if thats what its designed for. Even if it kills 1-2 terrorists in a patrol of 8+, it will still save lives. The terrorists will not only see their comrades killed right in front of them, but not know what killed them or where it killed them from, and once they do what can they do but run?

Its a massive psychological weapon as well.
Burraqs been used in this role. I dont see why TB2 wont be especially since its been used to target infantryman before.

Remember the Gulf war, where Iraqi soldiers surrendered to the RQ 2 drone deployed by the USS Wisconsin, that shall happen here InshAllah

Now that PAF doesn't have A-5s anymore while Mirages have been bundled up in one massive squadron, adding a new type of UCAV could mean raising of a new squadron for strike purposes for which A-5s or Mirages were considered suitable in 80's and 90's. After all, it was said that TB-2 conducted missions where F-16s couldn't be sent by TuAF, where as PAF already wants F-16s for air combat roles after induction of JF-17 to compliment Mirages for strike role. Save as much aircrafts as possible to defend the skies while sending in drones for ground strikes.

I salute you, PDF salutes you, Pakistan salutes you - for not getting the intended sarcasm in my post.

So, I’m not yet sure if PAF has actually inducted the TB2. But for them to induct a large number of UAVs makes perfect sense. It will allow them to shore up numbers and make up for capability shortcomings in ELINT, SIGINT and hunter killer roles. For instance if they can do 24/7/365 SIGINT/ELINT flights of WL2s and TB2s at a fraction of a price of a manned flight... it will help them contain any surprises from the other side.

USA china have basic rules even though are foes

20t will happen if india grows for 7% for 30years or 10% for 14 years

It has grown 7% for almost 20 years straight

India population is still growing ans will continue to grow

Ahahagahahahahahaha

20 years ago people would have laughed india will be a 3t economy or china (who was a 2t then) will be 20t

Its simple maths

While we self crash economy every 4-5 yrs with monoplostic policies

India has liberalized its econony and isnt self crashing it

Yes, the rupee exchanged briefly crashed it(so did covid long down) but long term benefit of that are clearnow..india and chinese economies are fully digitalized..we even havent started

IK bought a young lady to do it and she ran away after seeing the hostility

India has the world's largest poverty rate and even has larger poverty rate then the whole world combined don't get fooled by the 3t it is because of the large population and nothing more then that and infact to low for a country with 1.4b population they are technically at the starving point that is the real picture of India.

India needs atleast another 100 years in order to qualify to be labelled a rich country or see some wealth. India is doomed eternally as poor country.. Pakistan is also the same but the only way out is an expansion campaign which will occur at some point for Pakistan. They could start with Yemen and others places but Pakistan will eventually realize it needs to expand for economical reasons which it will do this is how Pakistan will become wealthy whereas India will not find way out of it..
