Why would Pakistanis wish to visit India ?

There is no moral high ground here. It is not Pakistani's " wish " . India doesn't give visit visas to Pakistanis for any other purpose than religious pilgrimage to Pakistani Sikhs and Hindus, We already discussed this in my post below addressed to that microscopic minority of Pakistanis who still have some interest in visiting India.. Pakistani Sikhs and Hindus are allowed to visit India as well as Parsis from what we learn from @padamchen .
Again, I am talking about a hypothetical scenario where visas are easily given. Then, it is Pakistani's wish to come or not. No one is especially asking them to come.

But I did admit that they too aee required to diligently log in their movements with the police, and are not given open permission to go anywhere they please.

The same I believe is the case for Indians visiting Pakistan.

In fact a senior colleague got into serious hot water because his wife nearly traveled to Pakistan without the due formalities, simply on the say so of some heavyweight in Pakistan on the side of the Punjabi family jinke ghar mein shaadi thi.

Thank God good sense prevailed.

These are not good times to be trusting the word of someone in a country where you can simy disappear and never be heard of again for years.

Cheers, Doc
That's what Karl Rock said in his Vlog.
Your guests from Karachi must be coming via Dubai, as there is no direct flight either to Delhi or Bombay. Expensive tickets, but I guess that is chump change for them.

They naturally assume pak is a terrorist state and is a breeding ground for terrorists ever since the OBL saga
Unfortunately this is very, very true. Coco Cola is one of the largest spenders on brand identity and image across the globe. It must spend billions of dollars. The image building is very simple. Associate a positive response to the brand 'Coco Cola'.

Pretty looking girls and boys full of youthfull energy, dancing around in beautiful backdrops, driving in sporty cars with catchy music scores. The intention is to cultivate a positive feeling to the name "Coco Cola". This theme repeated via tv, radio, print media etc repeated billion times across the globe has made the brand.

Pakistan did the reverse. We got free $100 billion adveritisement across the globe that Coco Cola could never afford. Everey media across the globe screamed "terrorist, Osama Bin Laden, Pakistan" for months.

The result is from USA to China to Vietnam to Turkey to Africa to Brazil to North Pole Pakistan became associated with "terrorism". Mention 'Pakistan' and tis conjures up across the globe.

Think Pakistan

Think India

Perception is reality. Across the globe this is the perception. It matter nought that India is nation of street shitters despite Modi's magic of swatch and Mumbai has slums that could drown entire European countries or that India still has humans pulling rickshaws because life is cheaper than a donkey. Perception indeed is reality.

Pakistan is still in the process of complying with the demands.

"Complying with demands"
😊😊😊

What do you think we are ?
Your d....mn colony where you an occupation force...
Like Iraq or Iran withering under sanctions?
We shelled the B-Jesus out of you and sent your dharamyudhis into veergati.

This is a revival of a previous ceasefire in 2003 prior to which India lost 1875 soldiers. Your DGMO called.

Except you're not negotiating from a position of power now.

It has been two years since all road, rail, and air links between India and Pakistan have been severed ( Link ) . The only Pakistanis visiting India are minorities from Pakistan on religious pilgrimage. (We are not discussing a reverse flow of Sikh and Hindu pilgrims from India).

There have been longer instances when travel between India and Pakistan have been suspended , such as from 1971 to 1979.
Unlike previous instances it is remarkable that there are no requests from certain quarters in Pakistan to our government to come to terms with India and renew travel links between the countries. The generation of immigrants interested in traveling to meet relatives back in India is dead.

This is the best thing that has happened over the seven odd decades since our nation was founded. It is not evident that the newer generation of Pakistanis have any inclination to visit India as tourists.

But a question to PDF members here .
Who would be interested in visiting India and if so why ?

Guess your soldiers remember FATF when the bits of their colleagues are pulled out from their bunkers

A neighbour who has a huge problem with us.

Yeah a problem that you have been living with for 73 years and will continue to live with for another 73 years ( at least! ) 😊

They have something you don't.

Why are you negotiating at all since you are sitting on the pedestal of power? Are you minting some more veergati medals or do you feel the brass is too expensive?
Wait ....I will say it for you, and spare you some keyboard strokes :

I would love to visit Mehrauli, Delhi and area around it. Those people who are interested in history would understand this.
India being a bigger country has more diversity in terms of natural beauty. There are few things you would not find in Pakistan.
Some examples are
1. Backwaters (as seen in Kerala)
2. Majestic beaches of Andaman, Lakshadweep
3. Cold desert plateau (Ladakh)

There is cold desert in Pakistan too in Sakardu. There are good beaches in Balochistan as well.

As if it's any different on the other side.

Or make the problem smaller and smaller until it becomes irrelevant. And that is almost done.

Given you're in the process of your 13th bailout, not far off, you still have not much money.

Why are you negotiating at all since you are sitting on the pedestal of power? Are you minting some more veergati medals or do you feel the brass is too expensive?

We are not, we made it clear turn off the gun-wielding yahoos, and we can talk. With them still crossing into, there will not be any peace. Let's see if your establishment prioritizes development over expansion.

Well I would like to see all historical sites related to Muslim rulers (Mughals prominently) + Pakistan movement (Aligarh Muslim University) as well as my ancestral cities and villages in northern India (not my relatives there, they are awful :D).

The yahoos don't wield guns. They wield barbed wire wrapped clubs. You are negotiating with them.
We don't care. We don't have a " no firearms policy " to play patty-cake with you. Shell us and you get shelled . Stop shelling we stop.
You have always stopped shelling first, to clean your guns .
A fatter wallet doesn't always win wars. We fought you when we had no air force, no artillery, no vehicles, no armor, no salary for troops, no food, no warm clothes and just 50 rounds of ammunition per man and sent you to the United Nations for a ceasefire.
See the rubber stamped currency below which was not worth the paper it was printed on, We don't care if we starve or get nuked defending our selves. A thin wallet works when the chips are down because we have nothing to loose .

You should use your influence to
allow easier access to Pakistani Parsis to visit Bombay and pray at the Seth Banaji Limji Agiary.

I am told Pakistani Parsis don't get the same visa preferences as Pakistani Sikhs and Hindus for religious pilgrimage
I do. Regularly.

It takes a couple of discreet letters to make sure they do not need to do the daily police rounds.

Yes, when they move cities, they have to.

But the girls and boys last year had a really nice time. And in spite of being subtly goaded by the Indians there, I never heard anything derogatory or scared or negative from any of them. Though yes, most of them were trying to get to the West for their studies and possibly permanently.

I must tell you it is a surreal experience to hear a bawa speaking chaste Urdu and having a Muslim cut beard ...

Cheers, Doc
So what is pilgrimage circuit for Pakistani Parsis ?
Bombay, Poona, Calcutta?

I assume some of them stayed back and sought asylum, or applied for citizenship under the new Citizenship Amendment Act now that it is in force.

Just curious.
Its not a pilgrimage man.

Not wholly at least.

Its matchmaking. Getting in touch with their (post Islamic Indian) roots. Networking. VCing. A mix of all.

Bombay and Poona definitely. Including Khandala and Panchgani. And most of the old Gujarat towns and villages. Surat. Navsari. Dahnu. Bharuch. Udvada.

They are a serious lot. A small teeny weenie chip on their shoulder in terms of how ready and aggressive they are to defend the larger Pakistani honor. Especially in the big gulf in technology and medicine and industry and commerce, which are the areas I look at. But sweet kids.

Cheers, Doc
Good to know ...

Assumptions again on my part... so in the matchmaking process those Pakistani Parsis move to India as a one-way process.?

As part of your population consolidation project, theoretically if all the Parsis in Pakistan moved to India, would that bolster your population concentration there ?

No offense intended, just asking.
Pakistani Parsis are our very own loyal citizens, and prime contributors to Pakistan's economic and cultural diversity. So we would hate to lose them. But demographics have a logic of their own. Elsewhere you have expressed ( quite rightly) the need to rejuvenate the Parsi population and stimulate a growth.
No it is impossible for them to move to India. At least I do not know of any case in the recent past 5 years since I've been active "evangelically".

These kids start a life together away from the madness in the West. And bolster our increasingly thriving community there.

Its not just Pakistani kids. But Parsi and Irani (and now Kurd) kids from around the world.

Its just that when the introductions happen and they say Pakistan, there are really interesting auditory and facial explosions around the hall. Lol

Its a bit like the country cousins coming to the city and meeting their city cousins.

Cheers, Doc

I have zero interest in visiting a country which is neck deep in alliance with the liar and murderer state of israel. To the hindus, I say be at peace in your country and do not threaten a Muslim Pakistan. For if you do, you will pay for it with your very existence. For the Pakistanis who worship bollywood and hindustan, I say pack up your bags and move to your beloved bollywood land like Adnan Sami Khan and don't ever think about returning to Pakistan.

To the nostalgic, idealists and dreamers .... the thought visiting the old Mughal State, is futile and worthless. Live in the present and build on what Allah Subhanahu Wata'aalah blessed you with ... Pakistan.
