It has been two years since all road, rail, and air links between India and Pakistan have been severed ( Link ) . The only Pakistanis visiting India are minorities from Pakistan on religious pilgrimage. (We are not discussing a reverse flow of Sikh and Hindu pilgrims from India).

There have been longer instances when travel between India and Pakistan have been suspended , such as from 1971 to 1979.
Unlike previous instances it is remarkable that there are no requests from certain quarters in Pakistan to our government to come to terms with India and renew travel links between the countries. The generation of immigrants interested in traveling to meet relatives back in India is dead.

This is the best thing that has happened over the seven odd decades since our nation was founded. It is not evident that the newer generation of Pakistanis have any inclination to visit India as tourists.

But a question to PDF members here .
Who would be interested in visiting India and if so why ?

Sania Mirza would be happy if travel is made easier, with her Maayka in India and Sasural in Pakistan.

Also, probably Adnan Sami's brother and son.

No one.

India should open a world class hospital in Amritsar and create a medical corridor for Pakistanis (similar to Kartarpur corridor).
India must focus on providing facilities to its own citizens, puri duniya ka theka lena chu*****pa hai aaj ke jamane me.

The hospital would help Indian citizens as well.
We will earn money from visiting Pakistanis.
Plus a goodwill and diplomatic plus point.

It is similar to how many BD citizens visit Kolkata for medical needs.

Pakistanis have no interest in visiting India, as Pakistanis see themselves racially different than Indians...and do not want to be seen as having interest in a country that is racially so removed from them
will you like to visit pakistan someday?

Yes. Things to do -

  • Take a ride on a man pulling rickshaw while admiring the Mars humping technological marvel that is India.
  • Look on in jealousy at Mukesh Ambani's $100 trillion house whilst avoiding being swallowed by the filth in Dharavi in Mumbai.
  • Check out the native Indian tribals doing a semi-naked dance in Chaittisgarh jungles
  • Take part in Kumbh Mela with billion other souls and admire the Holy Ganga but avoiding making any contact with the holy Ganga water.
  • then have a hearty beef steak while avoiding being lynched
  • meet and admire the Muslims of India for their education, business savvy, urbane culture and toughness of spirit.
  • etc

It would be adventure for sure although I confess I have 'visited' India many times virtually through travel vlogs and street walks which actually take you right on the ground.
